We're familiar with John Lennon saying something like it, but I thought I'd pass along this Allen Saunders quote;
"Life is what happens to us while we are busy making other plans." (he said it sometime back in the 50s)
I was reminded of it after seeing clips of the Oscar's speeches and how many people said it was their dream to be recognized by the Academy. I think the goal should never be the award or an Olympic medal, but making a difference, influencing change or enjoying the company of our co-workers and team mates. We can strive for our personal best.
After all, while we dream of accolades, life is HAPPENING!!! ENJOY TODAY!! Karen :)
Hey! Our album BLACK FUTURE came out in November, followed by a great US tour with EXMORTUS. If you haven't checked out the album yet, please do and tell us what you think! It's 70 minutes of sci-fi technical thrash metal to melt your fucking brain!!
Support us and purchase it from iTunes, Amazon.com, or directly from Heavy Artillery! Thanks for the support, and hope to see you on the road sometime soon!
Yes,..I love Family Guy! It's irreverent as hell! Lol! I thought I told you that I had a wicked sense of humor.... I watched this last night and laughed my tail off!
No snow up here yet. Unless you count what we had mixed in with the deluge we had yesterday. We have lots of fog this morning though. Supposed to be 53 degrees tomorrow; want me to send some heat? Lol!
