The Last Millennium Suckers are a 5 piece melodic punk rock band with some death rock sounds and female vocals. The frontgirl Jennifer is the plus in that band. Her rough and powerful voices and raunchy lyrics makes the music sound great. Her lyrics are deep and personal and often so deep that just the girls can understand them, but they are really full of intelligence. The guitar riffs are poppy but always melancholic and sometimes emotional. The new songs sound never happy anymore, and we think that they have found their sound now. The two guitarists play the hard riffs and cool melodies like Diego Maradona managed to play soccer. The bass lines are simple with great variations in the right time. The rythms are sometimes fast and sometimes ROCK.
The Suckers started in December 1999 playing together and after one night and many beers in an old traditional scottish pub they had the wonderful idea to name the band The Last Millennium Suckers ! Don't ask them why, cause this name has no sense. But for the Suckers it has sense ! They've released an live Demo in January 2001 and in November 2001 they released their first album "Suck up your Life!", which had a big success in the underground scene in Luxembourg !
The main influences of the suckers are melodic californian punk rock bands, european rock n' roll bands, oldschool californian hardcore punk and death rock bands. But they are also into indie alternative rock, pop punk and power pop and also sometimes in street punk.
