"... a recent addition to the Sub Pop roster, with a debut full-length due in 2010-- is actually just one woman, who goes by the stage name Dee Dee, and whoever happens to be backing her at the moment. At CMJ she had a band churning out lo-fi buzz-pop with the confidence of a road-worn crew, and they enlivened her catchy songs with a mix of Spectorian fantasia and Velvet Underground scuzz." --- Pitchfork

Scout Niblett is an English singer-songwriter known for her minimalist musical style. Many of her songs consist merely of vocals accompanied by either drums or guitar, which she mostly plays herself. Niblett grew up in Nottingham, England and chose her stage name in honour of Jean Louise "Scout" Finch, the protagonist in Harper Lee's 1960 novel To Kill a Mockingbird. She is known for her intimate live shows and the blond wig she wears while performing. She has released six albums, the latest of which, The Calcination of Scout Niblett, was released in 2010.

me and the boys have a podcast strictly for underground artists. when you submit, we'll play your song on our show for all of our listeners, and give our opinions and ideas on it. we'll read your bio for you so the world can get to know you a bit and we'll even shout out if you got a tour coming up or an album or ep dropping soon and let people know where to find you or where they can watch you perform. it's a critique show by some goofy dudes that will give you exposure and promote your projects. hit me back if you are interested.
I listened to your songs too. There's a nice chilled out vibe to them which I really enjoyed. I see we are playing together at Stereofunk so we should be able to check you out there.
Like the new song lads, "Rolling Away" sounding real good. had a bit of a head nod going there, thats a good thing, thats when I know I like a song......
