.. .. .. .. .. .. ....THE LAW ....is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. .. ....THE LAW.... can be booked here on myspace, or email us at thelawband@hotmail.com. .. ....THE LAW "ALL SHINED UP" is available now! .... .. ..The EP features six songs recorded at the end of 2006 at Audio Bay Studio. It is available at all our shows and check your local music retail supporters as well, like Schulers...ENJOY!.. .. This is what people are saying about it: .. ..GRAND RAPIDS PRESS .. - The vastly entertaining country music offered by The Law, is good ol' cheatin' "beer spillin' country" indeed. Stand out tracks include "Cheatin' in My Mind" and "Purdy One," sure to make you buy another round. - John Sinkevics (GR PRESS 1/07) .. ..RECOIL MAGAZINE.. - All Shined Up is as advertised: beer spillin’ country music. No song goes longer than three-and-a-half minutes, but none need to. “Tennessee Top Hat,” “Factory Woman Woman,” “Cheatin’ In My Mind” and “Purdy One” are a few of the titles, and it’s not too tough to figure out their meanings well within the allotted time. If you laugh or dance too much however, you may miss that these boys from Grand Rapids have talent, or at least enough sense to stick to what they’re good at. The lyrics are all well written, and the lead vocals on songs like “Goldmine” resonate as well as anything on country radio. The faster numbers jam like a rock band would at a hoe down. With this debut, The Law proves there is such a thing as smart hillbilly country. — Nick Stephenson (RECOIL 2/2007) .. ..JUKES BAR.. - THE LAW's kind of country is from when country was good. THE LAW lives behind the same haystack that hides Hank III, Wayne Hancock and the Two-Dollar Pistols from the B-93 crowd. Yee-haw, Jack, Jim and PBR. (2/07) .. ..REVUE MAGAZINE.. - This disc is truly a hootin' and a hollerin' beer spillin' good time. We really liked how these guys sound like they are having the time of their lives recording All Shined Up. The Law branches into different styles of country, making for a well-rounded release. We are influenced by great musicians and song writers of nearly every genre of music. Take a little of this and a little of that, add some whiskey, stir and wash it down with a High Life. Follow those directions and take a listen, then come on out to a show to re-fill your prescription.
