Sounds Like
Early SST Cali-punk with a strong power-pop/rock influence. Lots of melody, crunchy guitar, and fast-paced songs.
The LawnDarts are a power-pop/punk band from New Jersey. Their sound has been compared to vintage SST bands like the Descendents, ALL, Husker Du, Big Drill Car, and power-pop bands like Cheap Trick and Weezer. Their energetic live show and memorable melodies attract appreciative crowds wherever they play.
The LawnDarts have independently produced, recorded, and released two CD's (13 Songs About Nothing & VOLUME II) on their own label, distributed by Black Pumpkin Records. They've appeared on national CD comps, like STRANGLEHOLD (Triple X), Fistful of Rock & Roll (Devil Doll), and What Exit? (Time Bomb). They've toured the US from Colorado to Connecticut, and have opened for such notorious acts as ALL, Ultimate Fakebook, The Descendents, D-Generation, and many more.
They have a world-wide fan base, and have extensive airplay on both college and commercial radio, and have received glowing reviews. Rock and roll needs a good kick in the ass... and they're just the guys to do it!
offer up a satisfying slab of molten power-pop that's "decidedly non-West Coast punk: funny...classic...ass-kicking. Grade A."

Thanks Jeff. I'm having a decent birthday over here. Spent yesterday sightseeing in Seoul and today recuperating. Korea has a brutal national form of alcohol, "soju," which kicks my ass. Hope all is going well with you and the family.
Never will I froget the time long ago when i ambled aimlessly across a dark and dense forest with my closest friends. From beyond this wooded area of which we came, distant droning sounds compelled us and as if hypnotized, we carelessly drew nearer. Past the Railroad tracks we traveled, sequestered from the preeminent peril that lay ahead; this mysterious music ravished our ears it rendered us nothin more than automatons helplessly trudging closer and closer to our demise. Within a short distance we stumbled upon the source of this mezmerizing music.
This sound, this siren song, that which baited us from afar was, The Lawn Darts.
They then proceeded to fatten us up and cook us in a special signature Lawn Darts Stew (Avaliable at your local Stop & Shop grocer or wherever Stews are avaliable.)
As part of my Post-Dartian catharsis, allow me to post the following semi-self-promotional image (although I must admit, Chuck in that suit is making a little randy):
Let the record show that Ron was the only OG not to show for the last'un. Hoser.
Also, let the record show that I look like "Timmy" from South Park in this photo.
