The Lazy Ones is a new concept of store situated in Brick Lane's east London. the idea of the shop opened in 2004 was, on one hand, to provide to fashion-concious people a cool selection of vintage, mainly dresses for girls and shirts for boys, but promote also the owners artistic side with a range of illustrated gear (tees, sweatshirts shoes and bags) and a womenswear collection (Des Moines). Thanks to their great location in one of europe’s most "happening" areas, the store is favoured by celebs like Kate Moss & Pete, Alexa Chung, Peaches Geldof, Kelly Osbourne, Fearne Cotton, Amy Winehouse, Jarvis Cocker, Gael garcia-bernal, Samantha Morton & Tracy Emin. As well as supermodels such as Gemma Ward, Lara Stone, Eugenia Volodina, Kim Noorda & Luca Gadjus. Fashion people include Camille Bidault-Waddington, Gareth Pugh, Matthew Williamson or Marjan Pejoski among others. Donatella Versace checked their rail at ts when she stopped there in nov 07. Also bands like Be Your Own Pet, Maximo Park, Basement jaxx, grime king Dizzee Rascal and friends like Patrick Wolf and all the band members from Franz Ferdinanz but Kapranos for some reason.
Or though the highest celeb moment The Lazy Ones have experienced was when they ate a piece of madonna's 48th b-day cake that she celebrated at the Loungelover. It was a lemon cake.
The Lazy Ones have appeared in Dazed and Confused,Style bubble, W magazine, SelfService, Elle France, Elle Italia, Elle Sweden, Elle Korea, Pimp magazine, Amelia’s, Neo 2 and El Pais among others. In the media their clothes were used for channel 4's Nathan Barley(hilarious!) and in numerous videos for catalan bands Astrud & Hidrogenesse.
A new chapter for The Lazy Ones started in august 2007 when natalia's designs became also available at TOPSHOP Oxford Circus. You can buy our DES MOINES range at lower floor -1 at the Bazaar section. Since march 08 also available in Topshop Cambridge.
Back in 2001 Nat & Diego created a fake band in a friends studio and decided to call it The Lazy Ones because or though it was basically an antifolk album even the tamborine was from a keyboard. They wrote their own lyrics and melodies though!. "You don't even know" had 8 tracks. "The balloon farm" was played on Michael Goodstein's radioshow on WFMU in the United States. After playing live in 2004 they recorded a midi covers albumers in "MIDIocre x-mas 04" and a new album "Invisible green" with hits like "I wanna have a shop" and "omg!I married a horse!".
