*FULL BIO:
The Massachusetts born Bay Area breed lyricist best known as Lefty a.k.a. The L.E.F.T. (Letting Energy Freely Transmit) truly encompasses all the essential elements vital to the art form of emceeing. One listen to any rhythmic pattern blessed by the Sicilian-Irish emcee leaves no question on why he's regarded as one of the most dynamic up and coming artist in the rap world. Lefty was scooped up at the age of 17 by Style Misia, co-founder of the South Bay groundbreaking quartet Daysmen Empire. The two instantly clicked & a lifetime working relationship was birthed. By weeks end Misia took Lefty to buy a Tascam analog 8-track recorder along with a $25 Shure microphone & gave him his old mic stand with a home made popper stopper along with a batch of beats to develop his style to. Around this time Lefty's continuous home issues & constant battle with chronic depression were beginning to take their toll. At the time he was enrolled in the 10th school he had attended & was renting rooms from place to place when he finally dropped out of high school to pursue music as a career.
He would furnish material quickly & hit the block hard with the hand-to-hand hustle in tradition of the Bay Area Hustlers (Too short, E-40, Living Legends etc.) that came before him. After experiencing exposure on local airwaves with the release of the 12" Demonstration with the now defunct New Moon crew & the South Bay emcee collective Constylations, The L.E.F.T. would take that momentum & drop his independent solo debut album entitled Rule by the People. Teamed up with Chicago native producer Dextah, Lefty executive produced a cohesive album, which also featured production by Style Misia & DJ Henboogie of the Bay Area's legendary Dereliks crew. After the local praise received from the release of Rule by the People, Lefty quickly became a hot free agent & without hesitation signed with the independent upstart label D&C records which Style Misia was co-CEO of. They immediately went to work on the "heavily leaked, however, never officially released due to partnership/financial issues" record entitled The Gangland EP. With Style Misia exclusively handling the production duties Lefty fully came into his own on the Mic & separated himself from the pack. After the label fallout Misia retained the rights to the D&C name & Lefty filled the vacancy of co-CEO of D&C records.
To Launch their independent campaign D&C teamed up with the Sacramento based Evolution music to drop the limited edition split 7"(blue) which featured the hustlers anthem "The grind" (remix) b/w Style Misia's "Die another day" which is now a vinyl collector favorite. In 2005 Lefty reunited with his long time partner in rhyme Piseas to create the groundbreaking duo Bash Bros. To date ranging from the streets to the internet Bash Bros have moved more than 15,000 units. When asked to comment how Bash Bros gained a worldwide fan base Lefty was quoted saying "Let that stand as a testament to the polished chemistry between the two lyricists, real people, real times & real talk". This code ensures that everytime the Bash Bros step to the plate its a sureshot. Lefty has laced tracks with hip hop heavy weights such as: Sean Price, Rakaa(Dilated Peoples), Reef the lost cauze, Chali 2na(J5), Planet Asia, Big Pooh(Little Brother), & Scarub(Living Legends) to name a few. The man with the fiery flow continues to feed to his propelling street buzz with every verse. With no signs of slowing down & a relentless work ethic Lefty is geared to solidify his star quality in the hip-hop game.

*Small World, Big Noise EP write up:
Lefty teamed up with Chicago native producer Dextah to take an artistic leap not commonly seen in the Hip Hop genre. The first single release from Small World, Big Noise is the new soundtrack for Hip Hop's hopeless romantics titled “Never Knew Me.” Accompanied by a video, the track digs deep into the core of broken relationships between men & women. Lefty’s heart wrenching lyrics narrate a relationship gone sour over a street psychedelic beat. Small World, Big Noise continues with songs “Permanent Midnight” “SkyWalker” & “Big Noise” which prove to be smart, edgy, & dangerous. While dealing with current times & issues, the tracks provide a sonic pathway to the future. Small World, Big Noise EP is a triumphant and cohesive piece that introduces listeners to an emerging star, proving through its brevity that at times less is more.
