The Life Force Trio is an experimental Soul
band that plays a variety of cosmic vibrancy.
Mostly-instrumental and always ready to take
you higher, The Life Force Trio is led by Los Angeles-based
producer Carlos Nino (Aquarius) and multi-instrumentalist/
composer Dexter Story (Aquarius.) Along for the
great celestial journey are Miguel Atwood-Ferguson (Taurus,)
Gaby Hernandez (Cancer,) and Andres Renteria (Leo.)
Self-described as a "love-in" band, The Life Force Trio
play sets "like a raw living room version of Alice Coltrane,
Weather Report and Pink Floyd." The group fuses space-rock
and impressionistic 20th century classical music with funk
grooves and occasional sing along vocals to channel a
beautiful energy that soothes and moves.
Celebrated for being genre benders, misplaced in any one
category, The Life Force Trio have released two records
in the last two years. 2005's Dwight Trible &
The Life Force Trio Love Is The Answer (Ninja Tune)
and2006's The Life Force Trio Living Room (Plug Research)
are both very highly regarded projects that have
garned the group much musical love and critical acclaim.

Currently The Life Force Trio are working on
their latest full-length Aquarius. In addition
to lot's of heart-felt experimentation, classic
composition and soulful improvisation, Aquarius
features collaborations with special Aquarian friends,
producer DNTEL and harpist Rebekah Raff. A new 45
called Alice! (In-stores Tuesday, July 31, 2007
on Plug Research) has a B-Side sneak peak at Aquarius
called A Dream Of Los Angeles With Clear Blue Skies.
