hehe yeah, I support most all the groups here in KY..I teach guard at a very small school on the river, and then I have an independent winterguard that consist of kids from almost all the Northern KY Schools.

If you check out the website I gave you, search for Dixie Heights (they'll be in the 5a group), they'll also be at Grand Nats and they have a stellar show, with KY's most elite drumline, and i'm not kidding, their battery is the best ky has to offer!

ok..i'll leave you alone now :) lemme know what ya think! :)

YAY!!  I'm so pumped for Grand Nats!! I'm looking forward to all the KY band representatives.  This may mean nothing to you, but best of luck to Bourbon County, Williamstown and Corbin High Schools :)

If ya get bored and want a sneak peek of all three of them..check out these vids

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xCV7z-Vqbc&feature=player_embedded# --Williamstown (this was still a few weeks ago..they've added a whole lot since then and just won the Class A KMEA State title for the third year in a row, making it their 5th time and 8th appearance in finals.)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NnsnNTU3dmo --Corbin High School (I'm hoping they do well in the BOA circuit..KY judges don't understand the show concept at all..they go on at 8am on Friday)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=um8elNUEH8g --Bourbon County HS Current BOA Class A National Champion, defended their state title last weekend in Class AAA, against state powerhouses Adair County and Boyle County.

There are more videos on our KY Marching Discussion Forum, feel free to check them out if ya want

Heya, I was just looking through your "inspiration" album and thought I would link you to some of the drumline pictures I've taken this year. Some of them are pretty decent, haha.

I would leave the notes but change the scheme. It took me forever to notice that the sky was blue in the photo, simply because it was too similar to the rest of it all. It was just a really dull color.

Really good thanks! Our percussion is really good this year.... i mean REALLY good :D. We (The Band & Guard) received 2nd place in the 5A category at competition yesterday- only .5 points behind our biggest rivals, and we got "Best Visual Effect" so I'm quite happy to say the least! :)

I cannot wait for your book... it's going to be amazing.

Oboe is amazing.  One of my favorite instruments.  But I have to admit that clarinets are the best. :)
Our show is called "Gibralter."  Our director actually wrote the music and drill himself.

Hey.  Thanks for the add.  Marching band is my life.  I play mainly woodwind instruments(clarinet, oboe, sax, contrabass clarinet) but I know a little bit of brass(mainly mello).  I really want to read your book.
