Having recently released their debut albulm, Stranger Things Have Happened, Lionz is anxious to get back into the studio to work once again with producer David Barbe (Drive by Truckers/Blueground Undergrass/Sugar). Lionz has been featured on three different radio programs during 2006, and have won 2 Athens Flagpole Music Awards. Recently Lionz was nominated for two other awards, best lead guitarist and best rhythm section, by the Georgia radio station, Z97.
The band members, who have been individually playing at large music venues, festivals, and bars for over 15 years, have been playing music with each other for over 10 years in different conglomerations. The right mix finally came together and became what is now known as Lionz. Leading the way on drums are Mike Strickland (Field Trip) and Nate Hale (Cosmic Charlie/SVA). On bass guitar is Clint Swords (Betsy Frank/Soul Kitchen). The already legendary Daniel Marler and Damian Kapcala (Fiasco/Thelonious) share the instrumental leads on guitar and keyboards. The band is fronted by singer/lyricist, Jefferson Taffet.
Recently returning from headlining a festival at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach for the second year in a row, Lionz has been touring the east coast for over 6 years. Lionz is constantly writing new originals, and adding new musical influences to their song repertoire. Previous, popular guests have included Reverend Jeff Mosier (Blueground Undergrass), Dave Blackmon (frequent Widespread Panic guest), and the late blues legend Neil Pattman.

About Kaneel's music:
I’ve Sketched It A While Ago is French musician Guillaume Richard’s first commercial release, and we’re proud at Apegenine to debute another great talent.
It would be easy to dub this release ‘ IDM’, but just as Kaneel’s been showing in the netlabel scene for years now, his music is much more than drills and bass. Under the overlaying fuss of glitches and hectic beatwork, Kaneel’s subtle music sinks into nostalgia and tenderness with his explorations into pop melodies. ‘Naïve’ is a term often used to describe Guillaume’s tracks; unstable and ecclectic yet dreamy and welcoming, the result is a sometimes chaotic feud of cuteness and destruction and other times, anthems to blowing bubbles and inspecting clouds.
Always on the move, Guillaume has recently expanded his vision by seting up the petite&jolie netlabel alongside friend Maxime Lethelier, searching and releasing naive/cute music from all around the
