A collaboration of Jesus, Noah, Joseph, Moses and Mary, joined hand in hand with amps, drums, creativity and love
The Little Villeins from the begining... Tony and Frankie, desperate to put their passion and dream to practice, needed an excuse to make music and form a band and on a Wedneday night on a train to Bedford drinking gin and water the moment came. The band the View were playing at Esquires in Bedford and said if we were in a band we could support them...this sounded like a challenge!
We never did support the View but it did start the journey The Little Villeins have been on for almost 3 long and inspirational years! They decided to bring one of their friends older brothers on board, Tom. A great guitarist and a good friend, Tom fit the bill perfect (he had a cool guitar too!). Apart from bad hair he gave us a great edge and the racket we were making started to sound abit more like the songs we wanted to play.
After a few weeks of playing covers and writing some songs we decided to ask Frankie's cousin Frankie to play bass (that's not a typo!). We were now well on the way, we were playing until 3 in the morning in Frankie's garage, drinking home brewed red wine, offering the choice of Love or Rock songs. All we were missing was a drummer.
Heather then joined the band. She was a friend of a friend of a friend Frankie knew A tall blonde 16 year old GIRL! But she was perfect. She joined the rest of the crew in Frankie's garage and brought life to the songs we were playing. Smiles all round as she added that last ingredients.
The first gig was at an Underpass night in Wolverton, a small town outside of Milton Keynes playing Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things and the Paddingtons...thats where the snow ball began to spiral...
Almost 3 years later The Little Villeins have accelerated and shone leaving their peers and foe behind. Headlining venues such as the Monto Water Rats, The Sno!Bar and the O2 Academy in Islington. They have traveled up and down the country; Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Corby, Nottingham and there is no stopping them. Shining on stages with bands such as the Holloways, Red Light Company and Look See Proof. Slots on various Radio shows, Radio 1, Horizon, Heart, BBC 6 with Steve Lamaq and XFM, even playing to 25,000 people supporting McFly!
Their music, a fusion of everything they have ever heard giving you something just short of losing all control. Eccentric, Exciting, Inventive and Entertaining.
The seed is only just budding and we are only just getting started. Now, after many, we have settled on the line up with new bass player Alex on board. A new E.P is on its way and The Little Villeins are ready to excel and share their passion of music with everyone that comes their way, and if you don't we WILL find you!
