The LivingRoom now lives in a new room!

The Living Room is an all-age venue located at 109 North 9th Street, Mt. Vernon, IL. We have shows featuring regional and national bands.

The club can hold approximately 250 people and has and excellent sound system.

In the past we have hosted such bands as, Bleach, The Chariot, Cool Hand Luke, Downtown Singapore, Disciple, Sophomore, Crimson Addict, He Is Legend, Far-less, Number One Gun, The Chemistry, Mourning September, Bastian, and many more.

We are also open on special week nights for national touring bands. We have the ability to use The Granada Theater which is located next door and can accommodate 2000 for larger shows.

Come out and support live music.

Well, last night was the last show and I must say, I never thought I'd live to see it.
I am glad I was able to be a part of such a great place. I'll never forget the memories and people. I cried a little as most everyone did. It felt like a piece of me died last night. But, as people say, it's okay and we're just moving on to bigger and better things. The Granada is going to be big, bad, sweaty, attractive, and fun like we'll all remember the Living Room was. =] Thank you for everything.

Tom,

I know that I speak for a lot of people when I say that the Living Room is synonymous with coming of age in Mt. Vernon and that the memories of times shared there will last a lifetime.
Thank you for all the hard work you put in over the years, no one else could have done it.
The Looney Bin

Hey Tom I only got to go to your place once and it was very cool it is a shame that you are closing I really hope you open back up because places like yours kept kids off drugs. our place in salem will hopefully give the kids a place to go still while your closed and keep them safe. god bless man and best of luck.

Tom,
Since everyone else is leaving their final thoughts on here, I thought I should do so as well.
I just wanted to thank you for providing all of us kids somewhere that we can all fit in, meet new people, and listen to great music in such a safe environment.
I've been a part of the Living Room family for 8 years and I wish it could've lasted longer. Thanks to you, a lot of kids have been away from parties and stupid crap that could hurt us. You care about all of us and I couldn't thank you enough for all that you've done.
I've met so many amazing people and bands and have had so many unforgettable memories.
Thank you for all that you've done.
I'm praying for the Living Room and hoping that there'll be another opportunity to have a new location.
If it wasn't for you, I would've never met Shane Burtch. And if it wasn't for Shane, I wouldn't have known what I wanted to go to college for. So, thank you once again for everything. Thank you for being a second father and providing me a home away from home.
