We're divided into three groups or activities.
1. Midsummer Knights. This group does skits (the most recent called What's Happening Hamlet, a kind of rap about Shakespeare's play... everyone still dies)
2. Two Left Feet. Our dance troupe has evolved a bit and this year we hope to do a lighthearted skit set in the Renaissance... but with a bit of modern-day flair.
3. Human Chess Match. Yeah, we're gonna try it. If we can get enough people committed it will be Kingdom of Heaven themed this year.
We're still involved with WCMS Renaissance Club, still encouraging a love of history in kids anywhere we can reach.
We're also participating in an effort to set a World Record by doing the Thriller dance simultaneously with thousands of other people. Check out thrilltheworld.com.

Yes. Besides Two Left Feet, we're associated with Big Brad's Big Band and have been known to spontaneously break into song.

LLORE HELPS THRILL THE WORLD!
LLORE participated in the Thrill the World event this year, with 4179 people dancing the Thriller dance simultaneously worldwide! We had participants in the US, Canada, England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and New Zealand (where it was 4 a.m!). Here in Cookeville, Tennessee 33 intrepid zombies joined the world record setting. Check out some of the other groups worldwide at TTW's Videos Page In Austin, TX they had record SMASHING 881 people in one location!! We're really excited to have been a part of this. If you're interested in participating next year, either friend us here on myspace and watch for bulletins, or send me your email to be added to the TTW mailing list for 2009.

I can't find a program (under $40.. share or freeware would be nice) that will convert a .vob to .avi or .mpg without a $#&#@!*!!! watermark. I have my homie Jared working on this (the MAN!) I have to say, I think the video came out really sweet what with the zombies creeping out of the rocks and nooks and crannies of Hidden Hollow.
Next Saturday, November 1, 2008 we will be performing Renaissance dancing and a short skit with swordplay at Candy Cane Lane at White County Fairgrounds Agricultural Building. Come on out and see what we do.
LLORE is a community group of actors and reenactors based in the upper Cumberland area of Tennessee (Sparta and Cookeville mainly) who do their best to bring medieval and Renaissance history to life, to the Upper Cumberland, and make it fun. We grew out of White County Middle School Renaissance Club, with which we are still associated, and a small acting troupe called Midsummer Knights (which we absorbed - resistance is futile!). This is our first year as "LLORE" -- Lords and Ladies of Renaissance Entertainment. We're always interested in people who would like to participate in making the Renaissance come to life in the Upper Cumberland (but be aware - we're definitely on the relaxed side of historical accuracy - we'd rather people think history is fun!)
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone in the Upper Cumberland, TN area who is interested in acting, dancing, and Renaissance entertainment (or anywhere in the world).
