''Un-real,'' people were whispering, by the time they're 16, they'll be grazing on indie bones in the way that the young lion feeds on the ageing head of the pride - NME
The ''Listen To'' Band of the week - The Guardian
Bloc Party brought their well-oiled machine to Brighton last Thursday to perform a one-off intimate gig for lucky members of the 'Marshals' fanclub. They were ably supported by Lo-Fi Culture Scene, a group of 13-year-olds who looked like The Strokes after being zapped by that crazy laser gun in 'Honey, I Shrunk The Kids'. Those expecting some kind of kindergarten-indie were soon proved wrong though - the band's youthful blend of powerpop and wonky US indie-rock was crammed with more energy and hooks than many bands twice their age can manage. LFCS are already being nurtured by Bloc Party's manager, so their future looks brighter than the illuminations on nearby Brighton Pier. - Blog Party
Lo-Fi Culture Scene look and sound like a youthful fun loving, minature version of the Kooks with their own unique, body jiggling easy listening style, fronted by dulcet toned vocalist, jacob wheldon. Their tunes are sure to warm your soul and brighten up even the miserablest of days, and when you remember just how young this inspiring quintet are you feel even better! Lo-Fi Culture Scene really do remind us all that superb musical talent is very much alive and kicking in the UK! - Ureview2 Website/Magazine
Lo Fi Culture Scene have clearly brought down the fans as the bar academy is packed and rapt. The band are incredibly accomplished despite their young age, and songs like ‘Playdough’ and ‘Take It Or Leave It’ suggest enormous potential with a Bloc Party influence. The biggest compliment that can be paid to this band is that in the end their age is irrelevant: they are simply one of the best acts I have seen in a long time. - Artrocker
Lo-Fi are bloody young, but don't get me wrong - Lo-Fi Culture Scene can play. The fact that the band consists of thirteen and fourteen year olds no longer matters as they release their Foals-esque guitar parts and the lead singer moves like a mini Steve Bays of Hot Hot Heat, singing with the voice of Daniel Blumberg of Cajun Dnace Party.
Musically the band have buckets of potential and it is scary to think what they will be like in 5 years. - Amplifier Blog
'Meet Again' is an accomplished pop gem for fans of Good Shoes or Bombay Bicycle Club - Artrocker Magazine

Lo-Fi Culture Scene contain the youthful energy of the Arctic Monkeys, the longing of the Libertines mixed with the emotional clarity of Bloc Party - Random Access
London’s coolest schoolkids (Lo-Fi Culture Scene - average age: 13) are already on the road to stardom. At least, nominal stardom – having rocked the recent Truck festival, home from home for the serious indie-watcher. With support slots for Bloc Party already under Lo-Fi’s snakebelts, the management and label heavyweights are circling. Let’s just hope they don’t ‘do a Menswear’. - Time Out
Lo-Fi Culture Scene are one of the fearsome army of under 16 bands roaring over the land at the moment. You will notice the singer was dressed as Batman, as there was supposed to be a fancy dress theme. A slightly pissed off Batman worked quiet well I thought. They have a great ringing duel guitar sound, the bass was particularly fluid too, they certainly should be snapped up by some enterprising label. They most definitely had the overall power to impress anyone seeing them in action. Meet Again was particularly strong but they had a sets worth of quality behind them, and mustered a front row of fans for the first time. Singer Jacob has a certain quality that's hard to describe but suggests Star potential. - Indie Dad's Review of September 1st @ Kings College
Lo-Fi Culture Scene are made up of 5 13/14 year old boys who live in north london. The band started as Tom M, Angus and Callum. They played together for a while in a Park Avenue South basement doing some covers and making up some tunes which weren't that great. They then realised that they needed another guitarist as Bloc Pary's Helicopter needed two. So Callum asked his friend Tom Herzberg to join the band. They decided they wanted to start writing their own songs, and for that, they needed a singer. Tom M and Callum looked around their school for someone who could sing and found Jacob. The band rehearsed and still do in Tom M's basement, and they have been around for around a year in all but for around 7 months seriously.
Since their first ever gig at Nambucca for the brilliant club 'Oops', they have done a hell of a lot in a short space of time. They have played at venues such as The Astoria, Kings College, Bush Hall, Roundhouse, Islington Academy, Concorde 2, supported bands such as Bloc Party, Les Savy Fav, Foals, Mumm-Ra, Lethal Bizzle, Bombay Bicycle Club, Los Campesinos! & played Truck Festival, and are now discussing the release of their first ever single!
We've just finished editing the music video for our debut single 'Abstract' it looks amazing, we're very pleased with it. We've also finished the artwork for the single, and it's all looking dandy and set to be amazing. As you can see on our page we have confirmed some shows, we would have liked to have confirmed some more over May/June period but due to exams we haven't been able to unfortunately. This is also the reason we haven't been able to reply to you all, but we'll get back to you eventually! The shows we've announced are all good ones, and we're set up for a good summer. Keep checking back for some more shows in other regions of the country (i.e not london). We're booking in dates to do some more recording soon as well, so new songs will be coming your way hopefully in a few months, for now you can listen to our fairly new tracks 'Footsteps' & 'Waxwork'.
