Built more than 130 years ago in 1874, the space holding fort at 34C Gabriels Hill, Maidstone was once a seed and grain warehouse but it wasn’t until 1992 that the venue was converted into a music lover’s shrine, a position it holds with clubbers to this very day.
Over the past 15 years the intimate confines of The Loft has played home to many huge club nights including Hed Kandi, Sounds Heavenly, Fling, Serious and Nic Fanciulli’s ClubClass who have welcomed the world’s finest DJs to the venue including Erick Morillo, Deep Dish, John Digweed, Danny Howells and Pete Tong, who broadcast his set live on BBC Radio 1 in February 2005.
Fast forward to 2007 and whilst The Loft maybe a little older, it hasn’t lost any of the charm that has converted a small function room into one of the UK’s best loved nightspots. With its awesome soundsystem, low ceilings, incredible atmosphere and focus on real music, The Loft has become an integral part of any music lover’s night out in the South-East.

• On Saturdays The Loft will continue its dedication to delivering the best electronic music to your doorstep with exclusive weekly residents Sam Ball and Mark Fanciulli.
• Nic Fanciulli’s ClubClass returns to the venue on a bi-monthly basis in 2008 with similar residencies from Fling and Breakpoint.
• Also expect to see events courtesy of Futurism, Undercurrent, Mezza Breaks and Random with some huge club nights to follow many of which have never been to Maidstone before.
AND IF THAT WASN’T ENOUGH...
• We’re also delighted to announce that Rob Cockerton has returned to the venue as manager following his highly successful stint from 2004-2006
• Finally a brand new Martin Audio Soundsystem is to be installed within the club, returning The Loft to its rib-shaking best!

As many of you are no doubt aware Volume Events, the team behind ClubClass and the Electric Gardens festival, have been given the task of taking over The Loft nightclub in Maidstone. In the biggest shake up in the venues history, Volume Events will be responsible for booking talent into the club and building up The Loft’s profile as Kent’s premier venue for new and credible music. This is the first of many huge announcements surrounding the club so watch this space for more info as and when they happen!!

• On Fridays the long running Subsonic night will be replaced by Smash!, with its all new, all fresh take on indie & rock from the guys who bought the likes of Supergrass, Happy Mondays, Jack Penate, Kate Nash, Reverend & The Makers, The Holloways and The Rakes to Kent this summer,
• Chris Ward, Graeme Doyle and Tom Packman will take control of matters in the main room playing the best in indie and Brit-pop whilst downstairs Paul Richards (One Day Elliot) and Dan Mackey (The Startover) provide us with our weekly dose of Rock and Emo.
• Look out for our special events featuring DJ sets from the UK’s greatest bands and alternative DJs and live music from the nation’s best up-and-coming acts!
• Entry is just £4 before 11pm / £5 after with excellent drink deals on offer including ‘double your money’ for very the first time ever at The Loft!! Simply pick up your ‘Double Your Money’ cards from the bar and for every £1 you spend on the card we’ll give you £2 to spend at the bar!!
