The Lo-Lites were originally put together about ten years ago. The basic idea of the band was to play Rock and Roll in style of Little Richard, Larry Williams, Bunker Hill, Big Al Downing, etc... Later on things got changed a bit and the musical perspectives widened a little, but the basic idea was there. We played a few gigs and finally got too busy with our other bands (Ellis & the Angry Teens, Rawhead, The Vindicators, etc.) so there was no time left for The Lo-Lites anymore. In the spring of 2008 we got together and decided to get serious with The Lo-Lites again. We practiced for a few months, did few gigs and a recording session with our good friend Bobby (from the King Star). Here you can listen to some of those songs from the session. We just released 9 song mini cd "Thinkin' Man's Girl!" from those sessions. In the blog part there's few record store addresses, that you can order it from. There is also few gigs coming up and we're hungry for more. So get down with it and we'll see you at the show! .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. The Lo-Lites perustettiin about 10 vuotta sitten tarpeesta soittaa ns. mustaa Rock and Rollia. Ensimmäisessä kokoonpanossa soittivat Miku Majuri (Ellis & the Angry Teens, etc.), Harri Nieminen (Rockin' 8-Balls, Ribtones, etc.) ja Mikko Rintasaari (Jolly B. Goode, Cast Iron Arms, etc.). 3-4 neljä keikkaa heitettiin ja sitten homma kuivui kasaan muiden bändikiireiden takia. Vuonna 2008 keväällä Ribtones yhtyeen basisti Jate Haro (Rawhead, etc.) alkoi Harrin kanssa kelailemaan, että olisi taas siistiä soittaa Rock and Rollia. Harri funtsaili hetken asiaa ja muisti, että Mikun kanssa bändi olisi jo valmiina ja eipä aikaakaan, kun pojat olivat jo treenikämpällä kokeilemassa, miltä se tuntuu. Homma lähti heti alusta lentoon, mutta kesällä kaikilla oli liikaa työesteitä ja homma taas vähän kylmeni. Syksyllä otettiin härkää sarvesta ja treenattiin meidän mittapuulla aika paljon sekä vanhoja biisejä että uutta ohjelmistoa tarkoituksena aloittaa tiiviimpi keikkailu 2009 keväällä. Hyvä ystävämme Bobby (KingStar) tarjosi meille oivaa mahdollisuutta tehdä studio sessio ja käytimme tuon tilaisuuden hyväksemme. Tarkoitus oli äänittää muutama biisi, mutta pipo lähti taas lapasesta ja biisejä äänitettiin 17. Näistä sessioista julkaistiin 9 biisin mini cd "Thinkin' Man's Girl!" ja tuolla blogissa parit osoitteet, josta sitä voi tilata. Nähdään keikoilla.
