Thrill Hype by The Napoleon Blown Aparts PROFILE: The Lollipop Sessions WRITER: Jennifer Mattern PHOTOGRAPHY: Robert John MODELS: Ajax Garcia, Eric Griffin DATE: 2004 LOCATION: The Lollipop Sessions took place in the home of famed artist/photographer Robert John. ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Robert John is best known for his pictorial documentation of Guns N' Roses. Robert John was the official Guns N' Roses photographer for more than 17 years and has captured the stunning elements of the world's most dangerous rock n' roll band. ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Eric Griffin started playing the guitar at age 12, having childhood influences like KISS and Motley Crue. Eric has been involved with bands and artists on both lead guitar and bass, including the Murder Dolls, Wednesday 13, and SYNICAL, as well as touring and collaborating with several others including, Faster Pussy Cat and The Napoleon Blownaparts. Eric has also been featured as an actor in several music videos. ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Ajax founded The Napoleon Blownaparts in North Hollywood, California in 1995. Playing the guitar and drawing since age 12 Ajax followed both of his artistic passions. In addition to his still active role as chief songwriter and front man of The Blownaparts, Ajax offers his visual creations through Eerie Pop Industries and has designed art for such bands as KISS, Backyard Babies, the New York Dolls, and the Supersuckers. FUN FACTS: In 2008 an official commemorative trading card set was released by Eerie Pop Industries. The card set featured images of Ajax and Eric taken from the Lollipop photo sessions. The beautiful glossy 2 card set was produced as a free giveaway to promote the Lollipop Sessions. The Lollipop Sessions picture cards were produced at a Florida printing plant in the United States of America. A very limited run of (2,000.00-trading cards) were produced making them very rare and a highly collectable item.
