Influences
The basics of raw music.. simple tunes, bags of energy and getting it all done with unneccesary frills and with unnecessary amounts of people.
The London Dirthole Company play...take your hands out of your pockets, stand up straight and pay attention rock'n'roll with a 60's bent and an 00's crease in the trousers ........................................................................................................................
The songs are short visceral bursts of heartbroken disapointment, the eccstacy of survival and the nadir of being unable to prevent it from happening again and again and again.
........................................................................................................................
The band is an ever changing line-up of people who've seen too much music business frontline activity and just want to be in a band that rocks with no strings attached. There are generally 3 guitarists, 4 drummers, bass, vocals and occasional horns.
........................................................................................................................
The band began in 2004 and over a week went from being a 2 piece studio accident to an 8 piece live act with 14 songs in 20 minutes.
........................................................................................................................
Averaging a gig a month in London's toilets and respectable venues alike, The London Dirthole Company are a refreshing party to escape from the contract chasing norm.
