    My mom did the same thing after her Rottie, Hillary, died last May. She got another dog that weekend. His name is Marley and he had been rescued from the streets of Stockton, CA. We believe he was "foreclosure" dog who was abandoned but he is very good. Here he is:

    There is nothing wrong with your weight or being male. If people do not like it, sod them. I am no longer the skinny-mini I used to be. Just go look at my photos! I am 180 lbs...I guess. My SIL (stepbrother's wife who actually got skinnier after pregnancy) acted like my being "fat" was contagious and would not come near me at my mom's party after I got to SF...even though she had to rub it in how I looked "hot" in the photos Mom had from the 80's. Well, her day will come. At 41 with a toddler and a loser for a husband, well, I do not want her life and am happy with mine even if my body type does not meet up to standards.
