   About The Loomers
Rock legend John Mellencamp sat in with us at a party during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. A couple of months later we performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Nationally-acclaimed songwriter Ellis Paul has used us as his backing band. And we regularly perform with local folk favorite Don White. But just in case you've never heard of us -- trust us, we won't be offended -- we're a 4- or 5- piece band (depending on the gig) based loosely in the metro-Boston area. We play acoustic-fueled, electrically-charged, harmony-driven songs and try to throw in a few laughs along the way. We've released four albums -- Tomorrow Today (2006), Shine (2004), Simple As That (1998), and Escalation (1997) -- and played tons of shows at tons of places. In addition to The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, we've played Irving Plaza in NYC, The Somerville Theater, Johnny D's, and The Middle East. We've been long-time headliners at the legendary Club Passim, and we've commandeered their '70s Nites, '80s Nites & Motown Nites. We've also spent the past few years performing at coffeehouses and festivals, and recording with our great friend Don White. Oh yeah, we also play weddings for friends, and corporate parties if there's enough food for us.

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.
