will lift your spirits and soon have you bellowing along in the car with the window down. sunny, funny, and downright infectious” - news of the world

best unsigned band. ...their songs have all the warmth and familiarity of old leather..” - london lite - london evening standard

the band is delightful. they write good songs and have excellent voices.” - tony visconti (producer of david bowie, t rex, the stranglers, morrisey)

potent hooks... the mainstream media, including the BBC and Xfm, is beginning to cite them as a band to watch. Being able to skilfully switch from such Ray Davies-style winners as radiation vibe to the doo-wop traces of roo ba bah demonstrates their dexterity and ability with an infectious top-line... The Loose Kites’ joyous cover of Stephen Stills’ Love The One You’re With provides a template for their collective future: great songs, excellent vocals and lively performances. Awesome." - mu magazine - keith ames

"with their rockabilly-cum-skiffle sound, the loose kites have quickly built up a reputation for top tunes and quality musicianship..." - the skinny - graeme blaikie

they make a rootsy noise, the stage presence of the wonderstuff with the exuberance of the saw doctors. a jolly, enthusiastic, able outfit who I can imagine would do particularly well at a festival.” - silicone fish - mandy williams

If you haven’t yet heard of The Loose Kites, then you really should include them in your “Gigs to attend” priorities in 2009. Already with five residencies across the country, The Loose Kites are a band in high demand. ” - stoke sounds - danny hill

WE'VE DROPPED THE PRICE, BECAUSE THE SECOND ALBUM IS ON ITS WAY. £6.00 (not £5.99 because that just annoys us).

The band released their debut CD in 2008 with 2 successful singles, animation and videos and their 3rd single, Roo Ba Bah, is planned for release this spring. This years digital distribution deal also saw them on the front page of iTunes around the world. In France alone they got 5000+ hits in the first week.

They continue to tour the UK playing regular gigs in major cities and festivals, keeping an active presence from Dublin to London and from Glasgow to Bristol developing their ever-growing fanbase: Myspace 3300+, facebook 700+, and 1200+ subscribers to their maillng list. At this years Wickerman Festival, the band had the crowd bouncing through midnight.

Highly acclaimed 'Farida' guitars have recently used the band for endorsement alongside Oasis, Maximo Park and The Wombats, and the company has hailed them as '...one of the most exciting folk acts this country has produced in recent years'.

Having regular airplay and live sessions on BBC Radio Wales, BBC Radio 6, Xfm and other national stations, the loose kites are planning to release a 'BBC Live' album in the autumn of 2009. With their digital distribution deal, overseas interest is increasing and a recent stint in Ireland is being followed up with gigs and tours in Germany, Portugal, Spain and other parts of Europe.

Hey Dudes, its was awesome playing with you in Chester on Saturday night, thanks for having us!! I look forward to being at some festivals with you in the summer so we can hang out more!! i was wondering whether you found a fluffy turquoise beret when you were tidying i left it on the mantel piece while we were performing cos i got too hot?? Any joy? Also i think i left my mic stand its all silver and of pretty shoddy standard- did you find that at all? if you did then thats great i will have to come and meet you somewhere as i need it for busking otherwise don't worry there were a few more drunken stops after the gig that i can check out too!! Such a massive looser when pissed- obviously in more ways than one!! haha. Anyway thanks again and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!****** ps wish i could have stayed for more of your set, really really enjoyed what i did see!! Big love, Jules******
