Perhaps you have seen your life, your children’s, parents, friends and the lives of others devastated by effects of sin and the world. It may be that they have never known God and lived for Him. Just know that God is big enough to put it all back together. He is the one who can take the broken pieces of any life and work them together to make a beautiful masterpiece, a mosaic, a portrait of joy, peace and meaning.

Do not deceive yourselves. You will reap what you plant. If you plant in the field of your natural desires you will gather the harvest of death. Plant in the field of the Spirit and you will have eternal life.
Galatians 6:7

How many of us confuse the good news of God with religion. How many of us have wasted time and destroyed ourselves, have destroyed others, by having to maintain some kind of righteous stance, to play out a show for others. How can you love God whom you cannot see when you don’t love your brother who you have seen? To love is to trust and to trust is to reveal your true self, to be honest is not to paint a false picture of yourself.

The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what He does for us.
Romans 12:3

It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, He had His eyes on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose He is working out in everything and everyone.

All thing’s are done according to God’s plan and decision; and God chose us to be His own people in union with Christ because of His own purpose, based on what He had decided at the very beginning.
Ephesians 1:11

Everything got started in Him and finds it’s purpose in Him.

Christianity is not a religion; it is in fact a life itself

Greater is He that is in me, than is in the world.

I have asked the Lord for one thing, one thing only do I want, to live in the Lords house all my life, to marvel there at His goodness and to ask for guidance. In times of trouble He will shelter me, He will keep me safe in His temple and make me secure on a high rock.

I will lead my blind people by roads they have never traveled. I will turn their darkness into light and make rough country smooth before them. For these are my promises and I will keep them without fail.

We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair; there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are never destroyed.

What a great sense of security we have in God.

I am the vine and you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit. Apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers. Such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be given to you.
John 15:5-7

And this small and temporary trouble we suffer will bring us tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble. For we fix our attention not on things that are seen, but on things that are unseen. What can be seen lasts only for a time, but what cannot be seen lasts forever.

Philippians 4:13

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, never rely on what you think you know, remember the Lord in everything you do, and He will show you the right way.
Proverbs 3:5-6

My child, learn what I teach you and never forget what I tell you to do. Listen to what is wise and try to understand it. Yes beg for knowledge, plead for insight. Look for it as hard as you would for Silver or some hidden treasure. If you do, you will know what it means to fear the Lord and you will succeed in learning about God.
Proverbs 2:1-5

So then, submit yourself to God. Resist the Devil and he will run away from you. Come near God and He will come near you. Wash your hands you sinners! Purify your hearts you hypocrites. Be sorrowful, cry and weep. Change your laughter into crying, your joy into gloom. Humble yourself before the Lord and He will lift you up.
James 4:7-10

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in Me will live, even though they die; and those who live and believe in Me will never die. Do you believe this?”
John 11:25

“I am the light of the world,” He said. “Whoever follows Me will have the light of life and will never walk in darkness.”

Being raised as a Christian, in a religious environment, does not mean that you have been saved or have earned eternal life that God promises. For the scriptures say:

I am telling you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born again.
John 3:3

“I am telling you the truth,” replied Jesus, “that no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the spirit. A person is born physically of human parents, but is born spiritually of the Spirit. Do not be surprised because I tell you that you must all be born again. The wind blows wherever it wishes; you hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. It is like that with everyone who is born of the Spirit.
John 3:5-8

It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. This life I now live, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave His life for me.
Galatians 2:20

We must surrender our lives to God and His will.
To give up our selfish lives and understand that we were created by God and for God.
Not for our own selfishness.

Give yourself to God, as those who have been brought from death to life, and surrender your whole being to Him to be used for His righteous purposes. Sin must not be your master; for you do not live under law but under God’s grace.
Romans 6:13-14

For this life is just a dressed rehearsal for the final production.
We are all just foreigners here, traveling through this world on our way to our land.

One day, we all will stand before God and be judged. ‘Remember, each of us will stand personally before the judgment seat of God; Yes, each of us will have to give a personal account to God.
Romans 14:10

Fortunately, God had left us a road map to eternity through His word, and we know from his word, what two questions that will be asked of us on that day.

What did you do with My son Jesus Christ?

God does not care of your religious views; or that you lived a good upstanding life, or never broke his commandments He paid a high price for our lives and he wants to know if you had accepted Jesus as your savior.

What did you do with what I gave you?

What did you do with your life – all your talents, gifts, opportunities, energy, relationships and resources God gave you? Did you spend them on yourself, or did you use them for the purpose God made you for?

You may be worried, wondering if you can possibly do this. You may believe you do not have the strength needed. Don’t worry; God has given you everything you will need to change your life.

Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God.
2 Peter 1:3

The greatest tragedy is not death, but a life lived for ourselves.

If you aren't living for Christ, who are you living for? What purpose could you possibly have in life?
