The Lost Colony—America’s

compelling unsolved mystery of America’s beginnings and
other productions at Waterside Theatre in Manteo on Roanoke
Island.
Pulitzer
Prize-winning playwright Paul Green’s The Lost Colony
tells the story of the events leading to the disappearance
of the English colonists who settled here over 400 years
ago. The production features music, dance, drama, riveting
action, and special effects with lavish costumes and sets
designed by five-time Tony Award-winner William Ivey Long.
2009 Season
runs May 29-Aug. 20, Mon.-Sat. at 8 p.m.; Children’s
theatre, Broadway musicals, and other events also highlight
their season.
Children
11 and under are free on Mon. & Fri. and half price on Sat.
with a paying adult. Attend pre-show Backstage Tours at 6
p.m. on performance nights, reservations required. For
