Influences
R&B legends such as the three “Kings” (Freddie, BB and Albert), Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac, Muddy Waters, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Gary Moore, Elvis, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry, as well as modern Blues Masters such as Hollywood Fats, William Clarke and James Harman.
From the Gateshead uplands to the Tyne Delta, the current Lounge Lizards line-up came together in September 2005 although the band has been a regular on the Tyneside R&B circuit for over ten years.
The members of the band have come from very different musical backgrounds including blues, rock and roll, jazz funk and even punk and past credits include No Time for Jive, Alive & Kicking, The Flat Back Four, The Lock Doctors, The Dry Lakes Blues Band, Old School and Burco.
Their extensive range of musical references, diverse musical backgrounds and high levels of musicianship has helped the Lounge Lizards to create their own unique brand of Rocking Rhythm and Blues.
