Been there, seen it, done it and damn it still doing it !
The Lounge Suits, formed in 2005, are a bunch of five lads from
Portsmouth, UK who should probably know better to still be in the industry now !
That doesn’t stop them writing and recording their unique approach to creating well-crafted, hooky, melodic Indie/rock songs.
Influenced by the best of rock, new wave and punk, the band have also
been compared to Keane, The Killers, Muse and Coldplay.
The band are in the final stages of completing their first album which they plan to release early 2007 and are rehearsing to take the ‘The Lounge Suits’ experience out on the road very soon.
The band are travelling to L.A . in November 2006 to attend one of the largest Independent A&R conventions in the world with a view getting signed, making bags of cash and buying their own dormant volcano in the south pacific.
The Lounge Suits are :-
Martin clarke - keyboards, backing vocals and bitch whining. He aspires one day to become the band’s roadie as he seems to make more money than the band !
Mike de Souza - guitar and backing vocals. Despite owning over a thousand effects pedals, Mike’s guitar tone has been liked to that of a mobile phone being flushed down a toilet.
Rupe Rance - drums. Rupe hold the Hampshire record for eating the most hard boiled eggs within 10 minutes…….with the shells still on.
Chris Lockyer- bass. Chris has been a life long Michael Jackson fan and helps the other band members with their ‘male grooming’ issues. Chris enjoys to imitate the moonwalk whilst hammering his bass.
Eric Starr - vocals. Blessed with tonsils alleged to be pure gold, Eric has been known to consume enough Guinness to kill an African bull elephant.
I think I have beat you on the late reply. Sorry Brother! Anyways, I am not heading to Taxi convention this year either. Working on the biz side of things here at home. In midst of hiring a new drummer, writing and recording. How are things with you young chap?
Hey Mike
How are you? I've only just sussed it's you. It's cool to be blonde, I should know! Got an e-mail from Ed so I heard what's going on.
I was trying to e-mail you from BA.
Keep in touch.

Thanks for the kind words! We will get them next year I am sure! Hey no worries on the delayed message. I understand how life and the biz takes over for a while. As you could see I took a while getting back to you. So it looks like we may be doing some more recording at the end of the month. How is your project coming?
I hit New York yesterday, got rehearsal today with one of my bands - I'm using the old Sun records model of backing bands, a new one in every city (at least, I think that was about bands)
Hey EVERYONE!
I am still in south florida
these contracts are a bit more complicated than i thought. and lawyers... ug

Now it is my turn to appologize for the delayed response. We have been busy writing and planning for our EP release and tour. Glad to hear the album is going well. When do you think all will be done?
I'm going back to LA to finish writing a record and recording it. It's unbelievable!
Not until i get the kinks worked out i guess, but the people i am working with are going to pay for it!!! They are a small label.

Hey Mike, Yeah it would be great to meet up again. Let's cross all fingers and toes, loads of success would be good for us all. Platinum status should do it eh Mike? We are planning on doing a North American tour either in the spring or late summer of this year. What are your plans this year?
