Bio:

Felicity Burdett has played alongside Lior, Pete Murray, Angus and Julia Stone, and Josh Pyke to name a few, at major festivals around Australia including Splendor In The Grass, East Coast Blues and Roots Festival,Globe pro surfing and the much loved Woodford folk festival. Her musical talents were first noticed when her band won a Battle of the bands contest at the tender age of 14. Since then her sweet and catchy songs have topped the charts on New Zealand and internet radio, as well as receiving airplay on triple jjj, and radio stations around Australia. She has toured with successful shows in New Zealand, Brazil and Australia, and is currently residing in Byron Bay area. She has released two albums. “All summer long” which was used as the surf soundtrack for a long boarding movie featuring Ray Gleave, “The next best soundtrack since Morning of the Earth” –Courier Mail, Brisbane. Her second album “Going with the Flow,” won ‘Album of the Year” in the 2005 North Coast Entertainment Industry Association Dolphin Awards, chosen by a judging panel of professionals including representatives from Sony and Mushroom Records. It is available at all major australian music outlets via MGM or online at Musicplug, Waterfront records, Cd Baby or Itunes. A prolific songwriter, she weaves her words into her melodies with ease. She portrays a message of hope and reflects upon nature whilst acknowledging the realities of the trials and tribulations of one’s own experience. Her distinct voice is soft and dreamy with a warmth that touches your heart, accompanied by a lounge acoustic guitar style .A tuneful-mixture of jazz, folk, pop and reggae, which will capture you and fill your heart and ears with happiness. ‘Free your Mind’ from ‘Going with the Flow’, was recently handpicked by Tetley Tea for use in their nationwide TV, radio & cinema campaign for Tetley Green Tea. Another song “Treasure” was bought by Aussie Home loans for a national CD giveaway promotion package, alongside artists of such calibre as Alex Lloyd and Pete Murray. The Love Bus tunes have been used for many other short films and surf movies throughout the southern hemisphere. She is an avid surfer and has supported many good causes including Sea Shepherd Society and Amnesty International. The band’s diversity for any occasion leads Felicity Burdett to perform in various combinations as a Solo Artist (tambourine and footstomp), Duo (bass & djembe) or as a trio with upright double bass and drums to set the mood.
