The Lovelife was formed in the summer of 2007 when Ross Costanza and Brian Brofft decided to collaborate on some songs that Ross had already written. In the search for bandmates to fill things out, Tyler Blevins was picked up to play bass. Tyler and Brian had played together in a band previous to The Lovelife and already had good chemistry. Luke Gray was spotted hunting wild elk in nebraska the following week and upon shooting Ross in the leg, had begged him not to sue. Ross then offered Luke the option of writing dope leads instead of monetary payment. Luke agreed and soon after, four souls became one.
