  • Bio

.. .. .. .. .. .. Brian Porterfield is a veteran singer songwriter who after short stints in Philadelpnia and Pittsburgh, decided to settle in a small university town in West Virginia. He teamed up with local mainstay drummer Raj "Boom-Boom" Chandran and former punk rock bassist Bill Courtney to form the knots. The songs are kept simple and driven. Just guitar, bass, drums. and some vocals. Its all about the song. We are currently one of the monthly bands at Gibbies Pub here in Morgantown, W.V., a place dominated by cover bands, yet we still play all of our own music and have miraculously not been fired...yet! We think thats cool. .. .. .. .. ..
