The scratching and the whispering the screaming and the sobbing. The voices that say no and the voices that say yes, the demands and the denials and the lies and the love. The letters of rejection, the poison pen. The stabbing word, the slow dying. The flame and the dark. The end.
There seems to be some evidence that RICH came down from Scotland in the early nineties with the express intent of forming a band. However it also seems that the final pieces were not in place until this year with the recruitment of the final two members of THE LUGOSI: GREGORY and LUCIA. As with all aspects of this mysterious and elusive group there are many rumours- including those that say that THE LUGOSI already existed in an earlier form as the popular beat combo MONTEREY. After listening to MONTEREY's sunny sixties influenced music this seems very unlikely to me.

The evening is a pickings of the best acoustic and folk / folk-rock acts that have played at the venue this year. There are 5 shows starting from 6:30 and we'll be getting up on stage between 7:30 and 8:00pm! Dont be late! We'll be at there straight from a day's work so come hang with us before the gig and make some good times.
