The Helsinki-based band was founded in 2003 to mix various styles of music (nu-jazz, dnb, electro, rock to mention a few). Strong rhythms, jazzy piano riffs and swinging brasses gave the band it..s smooth sound that can still be heard in today..s LumiX..s music. Those early years instrumental recordings can still be found somewhere in the web under the name "Bristol Supernova". Todays LumiX is more pop (and I..m proud to say it), more straight ahead and a way more professional than back then. But still, the strong influence of nu-jazz and electro can be easily heard. And that is what makes the music of the lumi experiment so unique.
