The Lunar Funk Theory is more than just a band, it is an experience! If you have not yet been to see this band you should do so immedeately for your own good! And by good we mean it will breing out the good in you...good feelings, good vibes, good peeps, and especially good music!
Lunar Funk has a solid connection with their fans and thoroughly enjoys playing and interacting with them, and occasionally bringing them up on stage for a dance or two.
The original music and sound is a refreshing blend of many different styles as each memeber brings to the table their own unique musical vision. You can definitely hear some reggae, rock, blues, jam, funk, and hip-hop influences just to name a few.
From face melting musical peeks to booty shankin' funk beats, there is a little something for all music lovers in this bands large repertoire of diverst tunes!
So if you haven't been acquainted with this band and its following of freaky, furry, fuzzy, fun loving fans, now is a great time to jump on the funky bus and take a ride to the groove side!

Ya we should definitely line up another show together, that'd be a lot of fun.. We are planning a CD release party hopefully around the end of January in Rochester and if the lunar funk bus is still rockin, you guys could make the trip over. We're all excited to hear them :) We're gonna do our CD release in Rochester sometime in late January/early Feb, so if you guys feel like making the trip it would be fun to play again together. There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
