"V for VENDETTA" This film is HOT!! Click text for cover to the comic it's based .. pic for Official Website and see trailer. I can see why Alan Moore didn't want his name attached to it. It's very bold and maybe even controversial. This would be the general public's first taste of his work and isn't representive of his work at all, except that it's GOOD. He is most known for his ground breaking comic The WATCHMEN, published by DC Comics. The Watchmen is a landmark in comic book history. Previous to it's publishing, superhero comics were more "black and white", more straight forward, more clean, bright clear... good versus evil. The Watchmen introduced superhero characters and situations that were more complex and real in the sense that the characters had untypical issues and situations in this genre/medium. Issues/problems and situations perhaps considered more "adult" that people of the "real" world would have. ie. domestic abuse, drugs, abortions, finance, etc.?? I just made these examples up. It will also be made into a film. Maybe then he will attach his name to it. If people want to find out who came up with V for Vendetta, I'm sure they'll find out, but publically declaring his uninvolvement helps him in a way. This way, he will be know for his other work as well by the general public. It can also be that he's just a purist, and the film is just NOT his vision at all, but an interpretation. It's been "Matrixized." OR atleast THAT's the reason he'd give to hide the other reason?? THEN again, was his name attached to the other comic-to-films like League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, or Constantine (Hellblazer), or From Hell??? Hmmm. V is DEF better than those 3 films!!! CHANGES from the COMIC: "Evey was supposed to be 16. The first thing V blows up was supposed to be Parliament, then later on The Old Bailey and Jordan Tower. Not the other way around. They completely changed V's pre-taped message to the people from the book. It barely even resembled it. All the masks handed out reminded me of the bowler hats at the end of Thomas Crown Affair. Even up to the ending, where Evey doesn't don V's costume. And the exposition of Larkhill was too short and didn't explain adequately." I've been reading A LOT of DC recently, with the whole lead up to "CRISIS" and the fact that I love the JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED and TEEN TITANS cartoons. They've been doing a great job of pulling everything together and bring things from the past into relavence (sp). It's awesome. I mean, I'm picking up DC books that I'd never pick up, like AQUAMAN (great artist) and HAWKMAN (great writers). Hawkman, directly because of the JLU cartoon. VILLIANS UNITED rocked!
Since I'm a DC whore right now,.. it means a LOT when I say one of the best books out there is YOUNG AVENGERS by Marvel!!!
MY FAVORITE COMIC IMPRINT IS: "WILDSTORM" mainly because I'm a loyalist. Thier current stuff is hit or miss. I loved all thier old stuff, but they're bout to make a BIG comeback!
WILDSTORM is the company that introduced WILDC.A.T.s in all thier incarnations STORMWATCH WETWORKS GEN13 DEATHBLOW he rocks!!!! the AUTHORITY the book that redefined the superhero comicbook for the past decade springing tons of copycats like the ULTIMATES by Marvel, which rocks

Hi I'm K.C'arl (a.k.a. K.C. Randall Rick & 3 A.M.), but you can just call me K.C. or "Carl." I moved to NY May 2005. I've been working freelance as an actor, auditioning and devoting my time to being mentally, physically & spiritually healthy, rehearse/perform (act, sing, dance, write) for an Act/Band in the making called "Basic Black and the Off-Whites," hosting, promoting and DJing at my Monthly party dvAsian, going to the gym 3 times a week, yoga 2 times a week, taking a taking my acting class, Cantonese class (sometimes), spend time with work I get from my another area of interest: Comic Books editing/writing. I recently just got a mentor in that field. And when I'm not working a gig, I have various odd jobs such as personal assisting, promotional work, production assistanting on films/tv, doing background work on films/tv, hosting at a restuarant, temping, catering, modeling for art classes, dancing for a dj company, etc. I have many other professional interests, mostly in the entertainment industry such as Producing, Sound Design, Kung Fu, Tai Chi, mental, physical, and spiritual health.
On my spare time, I love to organize, watch movies, read comics, read, sleep, write, see friends, working on being a better me!! It's been very busy and I'm trying to find time to meet new people. This being one way.
I'm currently concentrating on my career. I graduated from Acting school, but I also want to try my hand at film production/post production, dance, writing, performance in general and the COMICBOOK industry! I LOVE comics! I love Kabuki! It's inspired me to look back and reconnect with the freedom of creativity and passions I developed as a child before the trappings of society/culture that put them into a box of rules of what I can or cannot do. Whatever,.. bullshite! I'm just not as afraid anymore. As a child, you believe you can do anything. As a child, you just do what you LOVE to do,.. no having to worry about grown up things.
Oh, by the way. I'm a hyprocite! So take everything I say and forget it. Boy that sounds like a disclaimer so that I don't have to be responsible for what I say huh? Well, no, what I mean is,.. I believe in everything, .... and I'm flexible in my beliefs, especially if it serves the ideas of "truth."

SHORTBUS by John Cameron Mitchell comes out this week! It was the first film I worked on as a Props Assistant. My claim to fame was the scene where there's a cum shot that hits the wall! I made it! That was the only really fake sexual act in the film, everything else is pretty much real. Anyhow, go support it!!!!! Oh,.. and if you REALLY have a good eye, you might see me in it, but otherwise they cut out all the other parts I was in, ha ha~
Oh and the soundtrack is AWESOME!!!!!

Well, I just got back from San Juan! It was HOTT. In more ways than one! It was a blast. I also just wrapped up a film tentatively titled 66,000 MPH and will be working on others called "The Plagarist," "Out of the Fog," and "The Ten" for most of August!
Look for my PREVACID print ad I just did for the next two years. It's an anti-acid drug, ha ha. Well, it's money!! The most I've made on a gig so far actually.
