| General | Making people laugh and making people realize their full potential in life. Trying to make a difference in this world is my passion. As a former collegiate swimmer, I still like to swim, just not shave my legs anymore. Movies, reading, napping on a cold winter day, Miami Dolphins/Miami Hurricanes football, working out, and just being a kid at heart. I also have an interest in writing a book, but I am a major procrastinator. | | Music | I grew up in the 70s and 80s, so classic rock, but I am a member of the KISS army. Tesla is my second favorite band. Love the 80s hair bands such as Poison, Dokken, Skid Row, The Crue, etc. But also like the Eagles, the Cars, Billy Joel, The Boss, classical music, jazz, and reggae. I enjoy a wide range of music, but rap and country is not even close to being on that range!!! | | Movies | Star Wars trilogy, Spider-man, James Bond, Field of Dreams (if you don't cry at the end, then something is wrong with you, no really, something is really wrong with you), Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, Wedding Crashers, Highlander, Animal House, Something about Mary, Old School, X-men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (part 1 only - part 2 with Vanilla Ice is a piece of crap - I want my $$ back), Shawshank, Indiana Jones, Lord of the Rings, Mel Brooks movies, The Jerk, Blues Brothers, Airplane, Toy Story, Indiana Jones trilogy. | | Television | Seinfeld!! 24, Rescue Me, The Shield, NFL, Lost, Law and Order (all of them), CSI, Around the Horn, PTI, Sportscenter, Heroes,Smallville, Friday Night Lights, Nip/Tuck, Family Guy, The Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs and of course, Gene Simmons Family Jewels. | | Books | I love books!! All the James Bond books, James Patterson, Vince Flynn, The Choice by Og Mandino, Tuesday's with Morrie, How to Win Friends and Influence People, some biographies and oh yeah, Spider-man comics!! And, I can admit it, just got hooked on the Potter books. They aren't too bad actually, really. Biographies such as Gene Simmons, Steve Martin, Seinfeld, even Slash's and Nikki Sixx's were all great reading. But my favorite books are mysteries. | | Heroes | The men and women serving our country who allow me the freedom to stand on a stage to tell jokes, or my story that can impact someone's life. Without these brave people, I could not do what I do and I could never thank them enough. And without this person, M.E. Morris, I would not be the person I am today. |

About me:
As a victim and survivor of a drunken driver accident that killed his mother and almost himself when he was an infant, Michael has found “The Magic of Life.” Michael tells an emotional, but yet humorous and inspirational story that combines stand up comedy, audience participation, and his personal story of how alcohol impacted his life. Despite breaking nearly every bone in his body, he is a former collegiate swimmer and has worked in Higher Education for over 12 years. He has performed at colleges and high schools throughout the nation and has been a keynote speaker at several conferences. Knowing that his life almost ended before it began, Michael is fortunate to accomplish his dreams. Although Michael uses humor, he does stress the seriousness of how alcohol impacts a student’s life. “The Magic of Life” is a special program that will change your life!

I am a giant kid at heart that understands just how precious life can really be. Even though my focus has been on the lectures over the last few years, I still perform comedy and after all these years, still love it. But...BUT, there is nothing better than getting feedback from The Magic of Life program saying how much of an impact it had on their life.

Who I'd like to meet:
Spider-man, James Bond..oh wait, nevermind, those two aren't real. Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley lead the list of people I want to meet. Bruce Kulick, Eric Singer, Nikki Sixx, the band Tesla(done it, but want to do it again), Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno. Want to meet other comedians who know what it's like to stand in front of strangers and share their thoughts that can make people laugh. Would like to meet other victim and survivors of drunken driving incidents because we share something that others just cannot relate to or understand. I also want to meet those people interested in making their dreams come true, because there is nothing better than that. And finally, want to meet other members of the KISS Army, because we definitely have a bond and understand the true meaning of "Crazy, Crazy Nights!" :)
