    ABOUT / The Mainstream is an international collective of artists and producers actively working in different genres of music. From classical to hip-hop and rock to acoustic, The Mainstream incorporates pieces of all of these styles into an eclectic mix creating a fresh diverse musical flavor. The Mainstream's international sound is truly a product of the internet generation. With members based in 5 countries on 3 continents this project would not have been possible even 5 years ago when the internet bandwidth needed to send and receive high quality music files was a pipe dream for the average musician. In this shrinking digital world, where borders are not defined by lines on a map, but by similar visions about the international language of music, The Mainstream's new album 'The Beauty In The Mundane' debuts as a testament to the possibilities of the internet age. The Mainstream's main members consist of: Joh "Joe B" Blachnitzky (Lueneburg, Germany) Federico "Samiel" Malandrino (Turin, Italy) Anton" The Bavarian Beast" Stoeger (Hanover, Germany) Lexxx Luthor (Oakland, California) and, Pablo "Pableezy" Ryan representing Luneburg, Germany. The Mainstream also features emcees Mason Black from Cape Town, South Africa and Holly Dish of Montreal, Canada. The concept of The Mainstream is to show the world how different people from different musical, ethnic, and social backgrounds can come together and combine an eclectic mix of musical genres in perfect harmony. The vision behind the name "The Mainstream" consists of different musical tributary's flowing together into a main river (or stream). The Mainstream has created the majority of their songs on their new album, "The Beauty in the Mundane" through sharing files online, recording their parts separately over different time zones, while always managing to communicate with each other via internet instant messaging. Their new album, "The Beauty in the Mundane" consists of thirteen original songs, mastered in Los Angeles, at the world-famous Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios. The Mainstream is a band, born not from similarity in race, geography or culture, but rather, from a desire to create something internationally original. They hope you will join them for a ride across their world; all it takes is to put your earphones in or your speakers on and dive into The Mainstream. ******************************* HISTORY / The project was born in the summer of 2004 when the two producers Joh & Federico met during a vacation on the picturesque Elba Island (Italy). Only a few months later they started writing the first songs and eventually began recording in Joh's studio during the freezing winter of 2004. On the rare times they didn't write or record music, Joh taught Samiel how to start a fire in the studio's own unique fireplace (you need to really know how to start a fire in Joh's studio, because the building is poorly isolated). About one year later another musician joined the project: Anton Stoeger - a drummer specializing in kick-ass, hi-hat fills from Hanover - met Joh while playing at a pub in Hanover, Germany. The 2 of them had an instant connection and Joh knew that he had found the engine for The Mainstream. In 2007 Pablo Ryan – a classical violinist from Northern Germany- met Joh while "Pableezy" was doing what musicians for centuries have done, trying to make a little extra cash playing for passers by on the streets of Lueneburg. The final part of the high octane crew came when Joh and Federico were in San Francisco searching for the final piece of the mainstream puzzle. One night at the world famous Boom-Boom Room, in the Jazz district of San Francisco, Joh and Federico stumbled upon a hip-hop funk band called Raw Deluxe. That night the two founders of The Mainstream met Lexxx Luthor , a twenty year- crowd rocking, veteran MC from the San Francisco Bay Area. The next day the 3 of them met at Lexxx's studio in Oakland California and started building the river bed that the mainstream would eventually flow. The Mainstream recently completed their first, tremendously successful, South-American tour. Crowds from Valdivia to Valpariso were blown away by the mix of musical genres and high energy shows that The Mainstream brought with them. This tour was the first time all of The Mainstream members were played and recorded in the same country!!! As of today The Mainstream has released one, groundbreaking album titled "X" (2007) and is putting the finishing touches on their 2009-release "The Beauty In The Mundane".
