Band Members The Band

Malcolm Clark (singer/songwriter/performer) with a unique yet familiar style of guitar playing and soulful vocals that will certainly move you. Malcolm has done many solo performances as well as duo and full band performances. He has also performed as a guest for the likes of Tim Hall, Randy Oxford, Frisco Man, Nicole Fournier and Billy Shew.

Mike Coucoules - (Bass) Solid, 'In The pocket' and in demand. Mike is a true pro. He is also in the center of the music business in Tacoma, WA. You will find him playing with The Smoke N Blues Allstars and Karl Thurmund. He is also an accomplished singer/songwriter.

Mark Bertoglio- (Drums) I had my first opportunity to play with Mark Bertolio at The Shire in Chehalis as he was drumming for the Ryan T. Higgins Band back in 2004. He had a great ear, his timing was dead on and the groove locked in with the bass player, I was impressed! Well it took over a year to get hooked up with him again, but I remembered him. A drummer-dude with 40 years under his belt, influenced by the likes of Buddy Rich and David Garibaldi, He has played with The Blues Torpedos, Ryan T. Higgins and The Brian Feist Experience. He is now a crucial element in the rhythm section of The Malcolm Clark Band.

Smokin' Joe Straight - (Harp, Vocals, Xtra Energy) Joe and I go back several years to the established hard-rockin' blues band "Home Brew" from which "AREA 51", our friendship and musical respect grew. Joe brings a sense of energy and spirit all wrapped in a personality that gains new fans with every gig he plays. With faultless musical instincts and 19 years spent perfecting his technique, this Iowa transplant provides the "soloistic" cornerstone for this band. A veteran of several local start-up bands, Joe has really "come of age" and has quickly become recognized as a "top notch" harp player.

Special Guests:
Kris Knowlton - Bass
Rickie Ray - Drums
Trevor Hall - Drums
Ms Lori McGraw - Vocals
Gant Eichrodt - Hape/Vocals
... many others, ya know who you are..

InfluencesCurtis Salgado, Loose Gravel, Tim Hall, Frisco Man, Santana, Average White Band, Motown, and more...
Sounds LikeCreedence with a little Malcolm Clark
Santana with a touch of Malcolm Clark
Eric Clapton with some Malcolm Clark thrown in
Malcolm Clark with a flavoring of Malcolm Clark
starting to get it?

At some point in the performance, you might say to yourself, They sound jazzy and bluesy and funky and schmoozy.

Here is a quote from an endearing fan;
You guys rock for a bunch of old guys!

I am soooo glad I made it Sunday to the Mandolin. Mike was great, and you were superb as always. There were enough paparazzi there - I didn't want to add my camera to the mix. Took a few special mental pics tho. . . I would love to be a professional photographer. That is my dream. May still be a guitar player yet - tho I like that soft comment. . .

Thanks Rock Star.
