Doktor Dream, an everyday struggling M.D. (Monster Doctor), invents a "dream machine" in the hopes of bringing his dreams to life. But the hapless Doktor doesn't dream of women, fame, and fortune as he had planned. He instead conjures only images of werewolves, skeletons, bloodsuckers, and ghouls! These living nightmares attack Dream, who manages to escape via an exit hidden behind a large portrait of his mother. After racking his gigantic brain for days within the confines of this secret laboratory, Dream realizes that the only way to subdue the creatures is to ROCK... thus, Doktor Dream and the Malpractice was formed!
