Sounds Like
"Oddball-pop songs about vampire girls, with dead-pan lyrics from a David Lynch script. Theyre fronted by poster-boy Ben Pearson and have a penchant for Raymond Chandler and film noir. Mad, sexy, elitist, erratic" (NME) _____________________________
"Them wondrous Amazing Babies are somewhere between Nick Cave, Pavement, and then some. Great tunes, quality lyrics. Tall tales of the enchanting and surreal. A clockwork drummer, two weaving guitars delving and descending through minor chord mayhem" (Rob Nichols, EVENING GAZETTE) _____________________________
"Darlington’s thoroughly enlightening Them Amazing Babies' latest EP is their best and most comprehensive piece of work to date. ‘Crazy in the Head’ reeks of single potential. There's much more to these Babies than meets the eye. The vocals often veer off inexplicably from the tune and allow the two detached musical strings to untwine in whichever way they feel fit until finally intertwining once more for a thoroughly intense climax" (Sandman)
"Them Amazing Babies are a cleverly chaotic, esoteric, art-rock band from Newcastle. Formed in late 2005 during a period of post-uni blues, they attempted to make very different sounds to those going on around them, feeding on their lead singer's obsessions with Haruki Murakami, Japanese culture, sentiment, and Raymond Chandler novels.
The band are vastly overlooked locally, but have secured an amazing array of support slots/tour dates in the last 9 months, including Larrikin Love, The Subways and The Sunshine Underground. They were chosen for these through cult status, through word of mouth, and thanks to a few particular individuals catching on to what they are doing.
A furious force live, with the ability to turn expectations on the head and create some truly gorgeous moments. Ben dances, screams, snarls, and ever so gently lulls you into the world of Them Amazing Babies. Bryan Fury is blind and does not. A chaotic and extremely unpredictable individual on the live stage. Most people think those are sunglasses he wears. Rob is the exact opposite. Perfect vision and perfect calmness. However, we are told that behind the calm lies fear. Ste’s knuckles often bleed when he plays too hard, and this blood can currently be seen dried onto his snare drum. He also runs an art gallery". (Drowned In Sound)
Their new single,'Destiny Is Stabbing Me' will be released on 7" vinyl later this year with b-side 'Wow'.
"Them wondrous Amazing Babies are somewhere between Nick Cave, Pavement, and then some. Great tunes, quality lyrics. Tall tales of the enchanting and surreal. A clockwork drummer, two weaving guitars delving and descending through minor chord mayhem" (SANDMAN)
Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.
International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.
Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.

Awesome Color is a power trio updated for the 2060's, noise provocateurs and impressionists, ace players with punk rock flair, inspired citizens of a small modernist nation of musical, visual, and literary outrage on the outskirts of Brooklyn, or a rainbow amalgam of all of the above at once.
Having recently played gigs supporting IGGY AND THE STOOGES, an upcoming tour with DINOSAUR JR. and plans for a second album on ECSATIC PEACE imminent (the label owned and run by SONIC YOUTH's Thurston Moore), 2008 promises to be a banner year for New York City's mightiest and most inspired rock band.
