Sounds Like
Bricks...softly heaved through wet lakes, weaved up in trumpet cakes. ‘hold me’ hugs in a plummeting side-car, ghosts treading on plums, old bassoons by the Hudson, glazed in honey, crumpled whiskey, staggering Viking tramps to soup queues, hot green liver pains juggled crumpets, hands too buttery to grip. Like Torville and Dean jamming space bop boogie in an underground shower near Estonia 1931. Like say, Rainbow Spinks, Robert Marley and Janis Joplin grating cheese in breaks between performances. Or listening to the pig opera on amoxicillin, upside down on a rainy day. Coating fearsome creatures in pink paint with a long brush in a small sealed chamber, whistling pop hits. Thumb-wrestling a rabid lesbian Lebanese shitsu for cola cubes or death. Bragging about French-kissing old ladies.
Our official debut album is been recorded at the moment and is due for release sometime soon. Before then you can still listen to our demo recordings here on myspace and more are available on our demo CD which can be purchased at gigs. When the album is released details of how to order a copy will be given here. We will also make it (and a selection of our other favourite recordings) available to download online.
"Upbeat, gypsy jump-jive with a taste of ska, blues and psychedelic sea shanties.", Q Magazine, July 2009
"The Mandibles combine some of the UK’s top young gypsy swing players with high energy, jump-jive, theatrical performances and an enchanting musical imagination. These festival favourites induce crowds into frenzied, arm flinging, toe tapping dance floors as they rollercoaster through musical genres and simultaneously show what an extremely talented group they are. Not to be missed!", Keynsham Music Festival, July 2008
"Jazz, Swing and dangerous rhythms from this play-anywhere bunch of Bath party people, possibly the best guarantee of a good time currently plying their trade in our fair city.", Bath Fringe Festival Magazine, April 2008

Thanks for your frienship! When I heard your stuff I kinda felt a bit nostalgic of my music explorations with a few of the Hussies while I was in Bath for 4 years. Not much to hear on my space yet (only a video), but more will come soon... a warm hello from Spain!

Hope all is well?
