The Manipulations is essentially me (EC) and my songs and our collective attempt to be heard. I had a band in South Florida from approximately 1988-1994 called either Headley Grange, Hedley Grang, or the Hedley Grang Trio, depending on which year and which line-up you may have caught. We played blues, blues-based rock, and classic rock covers. I started calling the band The Manipulations when I switched over to playing original music. The original Manipulations broke up before playing a show or recording a record. I have about two records worth of material that I am scheming to eventually record, as well as a few other tunes currently without a home. I've been working on transferring my first demo "Too Much Backwards" (originally released on cassette) to the digital realm.
Holy Crap, I can't imagine the awfulness of the haircuts involved in that Cutting Edge flier!
I was thinking of putting the album-in-a-month thing out in its entirety on CD Baby, but now I think I'm just going to vulture the best songs from it and put them on my second solo record. One tune made the "best of" compilation that the album-in-a-month people are curating.
