The March Hare is the collective result of five good friends joining their musical brains together, and it has brought us much joy and satisfaction over the past few years, as well as teaching us quite a lot about music and ourselves. We feel grateful to have been able to share some of that with you, our fans. The March Hare is its own entity, beyond the mere sum of it's parts; sometimes it's served us, and sometimes we've served it. It's kind of like Captain Planet, or Voltron, if you need a further analogy. Right now though it's sleeping, so it is with bittersweet hearts we inform you that The March Hare will not be performing or recording in the foreseeable future as it's no longer the best vehicle for our creative energies.
We are, however still close friends, and involved in a number of creative endeavors. If you enjoy the music of The March Hare, you can keep up to date on Zach and Jonathan's new project
we are, and follow the variety of projects Charlie's a part of at his website
AND.......WE'RE ON ITUNES!!!! (but iTunes takes a bigger cut, so please consider buying from CDBaby or Amazon!)
I can’t lie, when this song started I gave it the old “oh what the fuck?”. But thank goodness I hung in there. The March Hare are clearly batshit crazy in the best, most creative way. They’re talented musicians for sure, but that’s the least impressive part. It’s their unabashed creativity, and willingness to throw themselves into full-blown wackiness that makes this work. I can’t wait to listen to the whole album.

“Precise in arrangement, random in rhythm, and stacked with endless layers of sound that become even more prevalent when you strap the headphones on, this album (Mister Nimbus) is both a tremendous collection of songs and a genuine musical accomplishment... you'll quickly realize that not only does each member of the group work really hard to produce these huge sounds, but they've thrown every single drop of themselves into it. Thee results must be heard to be appreciated, and if you're not afraid to get a little adventurous, you'll find yourself easily immersed in this disc.”

“The March Hare lurch and spazz... with such agility it’s hard to believe they’re not better known around town. Any description of their madcap racket is bound to fall short.”
- Philadelphia Weekly
“(The March Hare) are energetic and jubilant - jumping around the stage like lunatics, sweating, shouting, singing, and
jamming on their instruments furiously... The March Hare demand your full attention - and they get it too. the audience is
pumped, and when their set is over, there are screams for ‘More!’ ”
- Phrequency
“The March Hare act like five friends who fiddle around with their chord dimensions, reaching well beyond the limits of what
other artists produce. Not only is the music esoteric and radical, but it goes way past the barriers of standard chord notations.”
- Absolute Punk
“(The March Hare) have combined their love of jazz with their propensity for wild rock’n’roll energy to create an album that
refuses to conform to any sort of specic musical genre. It’s too musical to be hardcore and too noisy to be indie, the only two
things it definitely is are interesting and loud.”

Mister Nimbus is probably one of the best post-hardcore albums released in quite a while, so for only getting one out you guys sure made it worth the effort. Definitely excited to finally get you guys out here with the new stuff though, can't wait to hear what it sounds like all touched up and finalized.
I finally got a job, which means a paycheck, which means I was finally able to buy your album, and I must say it's one of the best albums I've heard in a long, long, long time. Brings back memories of when the Blood Brothers and At the Drive-In were still around. Is there anywhere to get the lyrics for the songs?
Hey thanks for the comment. I was at the show you guys played at The Khyber this past weekend. You did an amazing job. I really enjoyed it. Thanks for the compliment on the drawing. I do really love drawing and graphic design. If you guys ever need anything designed or know any other bands that need design work I would be willing to do it free of charge. It is just fun to do design work for bands. Stay well and I hope to see you guys live again sometime.
So, Andrew Forsman (Fall of Troy drummer)asked on the band's forum who everyone would like to see on a bill with them, and I rec'd you guys. If they take an interest, you should totally jump on it. It'd be an amazing show, the fans would love you, and it'd give you some great exposure (especially on the west coast) ;) I hope to see it happen!
