Founded and born by an idea of Marco Campitelli in the 1998,THE MARIGOLD passed through different changes of line-up,a metamorphosis that brought them to the actual band:
MARCO CAMPITELLI: guitars,voice,6string-bass,keyboards,noises.
STEFANO MICOLUCCI: basses.
GIOVANNI LANCI: drums & percussion.
A lot of live-performance and 2 demo + 1 promo, bring them to be appreciated by a variegated public and by different musical magazines.
In the 2002 THE MARIGOLD take part to the SANA RECORDS compilation Rock & contaminazioni vol. 1(with SUX!,ONE DIMENSIONAL MAN,ESTRA,...), while in the 2004 they have their debut on BLACK DESERT RECORDS(obscure branch of 8 records)/Liberation rec./The orchad with the album 'DIVISIONAL'.
During this time "the marigold" are still busy with the live promotion both of their "divisional" EP and of the new songs that will appear on their next full-length.
In 2006 the band has released its second album.
The new marigold's album 'EROTOMANIA' (produced by AMAURY CAMBUZAT-ULAN BATOR, FAUST-),is go out for I DISCHI DEL MINOLLO/DEAMBULA RECORDS/debruit&desilence in March 2007.
Between 2007/08 the band plays in Italy, Austria, Slovenjia & France(@ Festival Fugues with Robin Guthrie, port royal, heligoland...)
-In September 2008 the song “eleven years” takes part to the FUGUES Compilation “unreleased track 2008″ with other artists like Balmorhea, Port Royal, ThisQuietArmy, Epic 45.
-Between August & October the band records a new album where Daniele Carretti (Offlaga Disco Pax, Magpie) takes part to the sessions recordings & writes with the band the song “tajga”. During the winter the capable hands of Amaury Cambuzat that plays & works to the mix.
At the end of this work the english label ACID COBRA REC decides to publish the album titled
"T A J G A" in September 2009 with the co-production of the labels DeAmbula Rec. & I dischi del Minollo/Venus Distr(Italian distribution).
