About me:
I am a neighborhood bar in Greenpoint, Brooklyn located at 1025 Manhattan Ave btw Green & Freeman. Four blocks from the G-train and one block from the B-61 or B-43 bus. Open every day of the year, from 4pm to 4am. I have a great happy hour every day, from 4pm til 8pm ($1 off all tap beer, $1 off all well, call, wine & house cocktails). Go to www.themarkbar.com for a map. The exterior has an old, turn-of-the-century charm and that feel flows nicely inside. What you'll see is a 1930's interior that is both spacious and welcoming. High ceilings, brick-faced walls and a large dark wood back bar all equate to a very warm art deco feel. The lighting is somewhat dim, but not overly so. You can easily have a conversation with your neighbor without any strain to the eyes, and the light emitted from the pool table adds a bit of a mystic glow. Aside from the long mahogany bar, there are plenty of small tables along the wall. I have a very nice mixed crowd. There are 15 taps with some great brews. On top of the good tap selection, we have a great bottle selection (50+) with plenty of Micros and Imports. I have been open for about two years. My prices are quite affordable. In addition, I have a very impressive selection of gins, bourbons, tequilas and whiskeys.
