I am a guitarist and singer/songwriter, performing on the local acoustic/folk scene. Regularly attending singers nights at Wharfe Unplugged Ilkley, Otley Folk Club, Skipton Folk Club, The Abbey singaround in Leeds and The Owl at Rodley. In addition to the new folk night at The Wuthering Heights, Stanbury.
I have also played in sessions at the Black Sheep Music Festival in Masham, the Hardraw Gathering, Otley Folk Festival and Haworth Arts Festival.
My simple songs cover a range of subjects from Pickled Eggs to Arson, they frequently have a humorous twist and they also contain some good choruses. In 2006 I recorded my first CD, a 6 track EP entitled That's The Style.
Over the last few years I have played various gigs at O'Donoghues in Wakefield, Romford Folk Club, The Cross Roads Inn near Keighley, Sounds Unplugged in Glossop, Otley Folk Festival, Court In Session and The Red Lion in Otley.
Really chuffed you liked the photos Mark. I have a few more to look through of Duncan's band - it was impossible to take photos at the Cricket Club though - far too packed out! I love your 'that's the style!' x
Good to see you Mark - hope you enjoyed the festival as much as I did - I'm putting quite a few photos in my albums. As you would say, 'that's the style!' xx
