let me tell you my story...born in georgia,we were living in europe in '64 when we-like so many others got the call...our intro to blues and r & b came through the STONES,KINKS,ANIMALS,YARDBIRDS,etc--we wouldn't have known HOWLIN' WOLF if a wolf had bitten us on the arse...years later in the usa,we were lucky to see many of the early greats like MUDDY WATERS,B.B.KING,JOHN LEE HOOKER--then we knew it was the serious deal..still it was the young white boys -CLAPTON,BECK,and GALLAGHER that we were closest to and drew from the most...
along the way we played with many of the legends--touched on their sound,and their ground--standing at jimi's spot at the MARQUEE,and rockin' the boards at the CAVERN--as loud and sweaty as all the other lads...
thousands of clubs,festivals,concerts later--through THE ILLUSIONS,THE BITTER END,ARNOLD BEAN,THE MICHAEL GUTHRIE BAND , now THE MARQUEE BLUES rave up the best of the british ---45 years after !!!
this is our nod to those first influences,hopefully with our sound to add to the story...
