Something I do not like, however, is a really itchy bug bite. Actually, I do not like any bug bites.
Music
Ben Folds, Kanye West, Ingrid Michaelson, Joshua Radin, Matt Nathanson, Christmas music, and lots of other stuff. I really do listen to pretty much everything.
Movies
Troop Beverly Hills, I ♥ Huckabees, Adventures in Babysitting, Love Actually, While You Were Sleeping, Nightmare Before Christmas, Grumpier Old Men, Heathers, The Santa Clause, A Christmas Story, Dirty Dancing, etc.
Television
Scrubs, One Tree Hill, and Buffy.
Books
East of Eden, A Series of Unfortunate Events, The Thorn Birds, And Then There Were None, and <0G5a8Y0qV>Skinny Bitch. I also like short stories by Poe and Gogol.
Heroes
Alicia Silverstone. She is incredible. And your face.
"Kindness and compassion towards all living beings is a mark of a civilized society. Racism, economic deprival, dog fighting and cock fighting, bullfighting and rodeos are all cut from the same defective fabric: violence. Only when we have become nonviolent towards all life will we have learned to live well ourselves." - Cesar Chavez
I do not have the best of luck with oceans. Well, at least the Atlantic seems to be holding a grudge against me. The Pacific has always been good to me.
I'm weird. And fine with that.
If you put vegan food in front of me, it's likely I won't be able to resist it. Except if it has coconut—then I just might have to gag a bit. Hey, don't say I didn't warn you.
Before I got a job at PETA, I was a ..Street Teamer, which really got me into animal rights. I learned to organize demos and met some people I know I'll be friends with for life. Once I got the nerve up to move across the country, I ..interned at PETA for like seven months (though you can intern for as little as one week to well over a year), and it was the most amazing experience ever. I got to see how the largest animal rights organization in the world runs first-hand, do research for campaigns, and travel all over the place doing demos and tabling at concerts. After interning, I knew PETA was where I wanted to be.
For the first many months that I was vegan, I was the only vegan I knew, so if you ever feel like you have no one to talk to, check out the ..peta2 message boards, or feel free to send me a message.
I have been known to sing into a ketchup bottle in public from time to time. And the karaoke mic, of course.
Some of my favorite things to eat right now: veggie burgers, ramen with vegan cheesy sauce, any kind of salad, cereal, BBQ stuff, anything with hoisin sauce.

Im proud to say that Ive still been 100% meat free. My friend hasn't been so successful...The only thing thats been even a slight challenge for me has been looking to make sure that theres no gelatin in the stuff Im eating....
thank you for adding me. I've really enjoyed receiving your emails from the 7 day pledge. It's been easier than I could have imagined to go vegetarian. Vegan seems much tougher...
