The Martians have been coming for a very, very long time indeed... after reducing the snivveling puny-human race to its knees in the closing years of the nineteenth century they all came down with the cold and had to withdraw to Cumbernauld in Scotland. One hundred and three years later, their attempts to control the world, this time through the medium of pop music were dealt a crippling blow when lead singer Sneddon won a karaoke competition in London.
Now, a full five years after that, the evil of the Martians has found a new genre: musical theatre! Their horror musical 'the Sundowe' has just won the Highland Quest for a new musical and will be produced next year in Inverness by Eden Court and cameron Mackintosh - the man famous for musicals about Cats and Frenchmen.
Listening to the Martians music is a bit like being attacked by a squad of squirrels armed with switchblades... they look forward to sharing their songs with you... and they hope it will hurt.
We are the martians... where do your gods live and how do we kill them?

HAPPY CHRISTMAS! Hope the festive season brings you good cheer, good friends, good wine, good music. (must be lots of money in Christmas songs?)
Been working on my photo site, hope it might be up soon? I have family coming to stay – expecting Giant monopoly apparently?... Fun Times! Best Paulinex
Hi Martians, I hope you all have a fantastic time at Christmas with those you love, and the odd curmudgeonly relative as well ( every family has at least one - don't they?? )Love Helen xx
Martians – NEW SHOW in Edinburgh is magnificent! 5 star reviews! WOW great audience reactions!!. I took my cousin and she loved the show – and thought it was ‘brilliant’ (her word) and was recommending it to some people we met. Such catchy tunes that I have stuck in my head, full of fast paced delicious dry humour and clever (twisted!) takes on human foibles and superstitions, love of dogs and Scotland! ( Invisible SkyGods, Reformation, Nessie, Not A Valley Anymore) Highlight was Gerry as Greyfriars Bobby (dog with black socks on his ears) And the totally our of context Mary Poppins meets Hitler sketch – a pure musical Monty Python!
Got some fun pics of you guys in the High street – hope you had a great time at the festival.
CONGRATS! On winners of the 2008 "Spirit Of The Fringe" award .... very well done! thanks for all the fun cheers Paulinex
I saw a lovely 3 star review of #GREYFRIARS TWISTED TALES# in Scotsman today- very well done!! QUOTE ‘ Great fun… These boys have a great future ahead of them. The Martians have landed. ’
Sending a Dublin image so the LUCK of the Irish is with you for your shows. Hope to make it over. Cheers Paulinex
