My name is Martin David Holmes, I was born on the 21st July 1988 in Hull, England.
I started writing, performing and producing a comedy podcast called ’As Soon As Plausible’ in September 2006. I made two series of the podcast from September 06 to February 07. The podcast was a concoction of comedy sketches and topical humourous chat. I started a second podcast series titled "It’s The End Of The World (As We Know It)" in October 07. The new podcast was, more succinct and better structured, bringing a mix of wit, satire and silliness in the form of sketches, music and rants.
I have also finished writing a sitcom script titled ’Welcome To Stripe’ along with Dylan Taylor. We have sent it off to production companies and have received some relatively positive feedback from a couple of companies so far. My earlier sitcom script for ’Street Theatre/Gloomy Days’ got very positive feedback from the professional script reader Marc Blake. I’m also working on other sitcom scripts, radio scripts etc.
Personally, I’m a social hermit that ventures out in to the real world every so often, just to see what’s going on really. If you like watching TV, listening to music and conversation then we’d get along fine, but I can’t go into shit-faced, fuzzy eye-balled, crawling around, puking in the gutter mode, so I can’t provide that type of "entertainment"...but I can speak some Japanese...Watashi wa Martin desu!
Conformity bores me and if hell existed I would be going there based on pure ignorance.
I have the power to vote now, but I’m not going to.
Other cultures interest me and discrimination sickens me.
I like to read but I also like to watch Big Brother, so my ’book smart’ is canceled out by my ’TV idiocy’.
I’m going to sleep now until somebody commissions my work.

Trevor Lock the brilliant stand-up comedian, who has also starred in great shows such as This Morning With Richard Not Judy and The Russell Brand Show on BBC 6Music/Radio 2, said this about my Podcast:
"Good luck with your podcast, listened to the first bit of Episode Four - liked the Prince Charles adoption joke."
TV's Emma Kennedy the extremely talented actress and writer, off of shows such as Suburban Shootout, The Smoking Room, This Morning With Richard Not Judy, The Mark Steel Lectures and That Was Then This Is Now, said this about my podcast:
"I enjoyed listening to your podcast and think it shows a lot of promise. I think it's been very well put together so if that was you all on your own then you've done an excellent job. I really liked the section with the Queen and the sword - that was very funny. Some of the set pieces were over long - edible dvd for example - you should aim for each sketch to be no longer than 3 minutes - and to give it texture - throw in short under a minute sketches. Performance wise I think you came across as confident and capable. Vocally I think you could think about trying a wider range - some of your voices were a little similar. Overall I was very impressed. Do a few more and then edit together a best of and send it to some producers at radio 4."

REMEMBER YOU DONT NEED AN IPOD TO LISTEN TO PODCASTS
Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet the poltergeist of Bill Hicks. And the real life, living, Brittany Murphy and/or Natasha Bedingfield
The severe drought in Georgia has left my once plush Bermuda grass a barren wasteland. Regardless, I'm going out to mow the lawn...in hopes to appease the rain gods. Or give my neighbors a cheap thrill. You see, I'm inspired by some women who have an unusual ritual to revitalize their once fertile crops.
I uploaded a new audio comedy to my profile, so I invite you to listen, laugh, and ENJOY! Shelly
My slogan is "my mind goes places it probably shouldn't but has a fun time while it's there". That would explain my uncontrollable giggling when the PR folks at ReverbNation advised I'm supposed to ask YOU...to...GRAB MY WIDGET!!! I make this request in the most professional manner possible.
Besides the cheap thrill both of us will get, you can help me be on top (I'm currently in 4th place in the comedian ranking. So, I give you permission to grab THIS widget and experience uncontrollable laughs. If it's good for you, consider becoming a fan AND sharing some comedy love with your friends.

Please check back often because as we get this movie going we will provide continual updates through pictures, videos and blogs.
Good to hear you back with the podcasts mate, it's been a while! I'm looking forward to listening - it's on my ipod and I'm gonna listen tomorrow on the train!
That is good news I hope it goes well. Unfortunately at the moment I don't have any sound possibility on my PC as I had a massive virus on it and then had to get everything put back onto it after it was gone.
As soon as I have the ability to listen I will definitely tune in.
Hope you are well and things are looking good for you - Ricky
Congratulations on the new podcast! Razor sharp as always, and right on target. Enjoyed the music too. Surprised to see the Queen at the memorial opening today, given the traumatic ordeal she's been through. What a trooper!
