Formerly of the Dave Binliner Band, The Ernie Biggles Orchestra and of dubious DVD soundtrack writing fame, Matlock International Man of Misery decided he needed his friends to help him through a difficult time. So many talented and selfless people helped with the resulting musical diary that it became a traveling musical snowball, but not as cold and soggy. Here they be, under the producership of yours truly, the most fabulous "Matlock Players". They humble me.
Would love to see the pics. Sometimes one has to move on. Am enjoying not being in a band at the moment and is nice to be getting gigs cos people ask me to sit in or just perform on my own. Nice not to have to carry 11 things to a gig as well!
Hi and thanks for the add from the UK's smallest psych/prog record label, Fruits de Mer Records.
Hope you and your friends enjoy our first single - Small Faces' classic album's opening track - Ogden's Nut Gone Flake - meets Van der Graaf Generator's equally cool Theme One. Playing now at www. myspace. com/fdmer & www. myspace. com/fdmer2 (we're not sure why either, but feel free to compare & contrast!).
Views, reviews, spreading the word, even the odd order for our 7" coloured vinyl first-ever release (we've only pressed up 300 copies!) gratefully received.
Didn't know you had some of your older works up, some really cool old sounds. It's very, erm! "Different" from what you did this time around, was that a concious step or was it just how it evolved?
