Max Perkoff, trombone & piano
An active musician in the San Francisco Bay Area, Max continues to tour the west and east coasts of the USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, Reno, Nevada; and throughout the state of Oregon. Touring in 2007 includes New York City and Los Angeles.
Gig venues in New York City include Jazz At Lincoln Center, The Triad, La Mama Theater, The Encore & The Metropolitan Room. In the Bay Area: Yoshi's in Oakland, Jazz At Pearls, The Filmore, Performances at Six in San Francisco; The Sweetwater, 142 Throckmorton, and many more.
2007 includes the release of three recordings: "Infinite Search - The Max Perkoff Band," his sixth as a leader; and two as a sideman: "Drunk With Love, A Tribute To Frances Faye, starring Terese Genecco." "As Long As You're Living, A Tribute to Oscar Brown Jr., starring Linda Kosut."
2006 included the release of "Monk's Bones". Perkoff and fellow trombonist Roswell Rudd were guest soloists with the Monk's Music Trio for an album of nine Thelonious Monk compositions. The CD reached 10 on the national jazz radio play list.

Among the many musicians Randy has performed and recorded with are: Joe Henderson, Dizzy Gillespie, Bobby Hutcherson, Mel Martin, Benny Barth, Mel Graves, Bennett Friedman, Larry Baskett, Peter Welker, Chris Amberger, George Marsh, Smith Dobson, Bill Watrous, George Cables, Tony Dumas, Akira Tana, Billy Childs, Bob Sheppard, Steve Smith, Harold Jones, Bob Badgley, Ernie Watts, Warren Gale, Herb Pomeroy, the Bay Area Jazz Composers' Orchestra, the New Oakland Jazz Orchestra, Dave Eshelman Jazz Garden Big Band and The Turtle Island String Quartet. He plays on a regular basis with many local musicians throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
He has performed at numerous jazz festivals such as Monterey Jazz Festival, Mount Hood Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, Telluride Colorado Jazz Festival, Space Coast Jazz Festival, North Coast Jazz Festival, Fairfax Jazz Festival, Benicia Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Festival, Sacramento Jazz Festival, Cotati Jazz Festival, Jazz on the (Russian) River, Harvest Festival, San Miguel de Allende Jazz Festival in Mexico, and at the Hollywood Bowl for Dizzy Gillespie's 75th birthday celebration.

Sam has played with The David Grisman Quintet (2000 - '01) & is the bassist with Monk's Music Trio & many other SF Bay Area groups.
