The Club History:

1937 was a dark time for the United States. The country was locked in the grips of economic disaster, crime was rampant, hunger and famine were widespread and the threat of attack by radioactive monsters was on the rise. The government seemed content and able to address the economic issues of the day butwere unwilling, nay unable, to combat the ever-frequent menace from the so called "Radio-Mega-Fauna", or the Giant Atomic Monsters. THEM! was founded to combat thisgrowing scourge. THEM! stands for Team of Humans for the Eradication of Monsters.

THEM! uses radiation powered vehicles, shocking to look at, that carry concealed weapons capable of dealing with their giant foe. These twisted craft, sickly beautiful yet often difficult to comprehend; make up the cornerstone of their weaponry. Their tactics vary from direct automotive assault to surreptitious sabotage. To date they, with the help of like-minded combatants around the globe, have been able to suppress the threat of Mega-Fauna. This is evidenced by the relative lack of Giant Monster activity in this and the latter half of the last century.

It is the stated goal of the current generation of THEM! to prevent tragic Giant Monster attacks like the ones that occurred in Oklahoma City, Nagasaki, Pompeii, Atlantis, Donner Pass, Mt. St. Helens, Woodstock NY and the Neverland Ranch.

No one is sure of the exact identities of any of the members but rumor has it that their ranks are filled with ex- CIA , ex-ATF, Mafia, Special Forces, retired RAND Co. executives and Skunk Works Engineers. Many have speculated that at one time or another personalities such as, Hunter S. Thompson, George Watson, Timothy Leary, Carl Sagan, G. Gordon Liddy, William Shatner, General Westmorland and Dr. Seuss have all served as active members of THEM!
